On the bright side he wouldn't be pulled into some long drawn out conversation that he'd have to force himself into. No need for small talk either apparently, he could just get straight into the matter that had him standing here...so she could get back to her pictures....right then....

"I assume you've been exposed to years upon years of advanced Transfiguration and that's exactly why I'm here. I seem to have found myself in a little...fix where the animagus field is concerned and I was wondering if you'd be able to help me."

Of course he'd explain more, he just had to be sure she was capable of helping and he wasn't wasting his time on useless explanations.
