Despite the distance, however, he did make it to the kitchen and snagged himself an extra apple for the walk back up. This he munched on, his other hand buried in his pocket as he made his way back up.
Maddox slowed upon approaching his seating area and noticing a student sitting there. Had she been there long? "What can I do for you Miss....?" Without having started lessons he was still hopelessly lost on all but one name. Wow. Also, this was a really good apple. Crunch. Crunching? Emmylou looked up at the person that had arrived in the room. Apples? The fifth year stood up with a big smile on her face and waved at her new professor? This was him right? She wasn't sure because she had never seen him before but he was being polite so he had to be the new professor. "Hello Sir." Her voice was calm and smooth but different because of her southern twang in it. She knew she would get a comment about and it didn't bug her because she was getting used to it by now. "I'm Emmylou Duchannes, Sir. Fifth year, Gryffindor."
Was that a good thing to do? Mention her house and year? She didn't know if he had went to Hogwarts when he was her age.
