The same thing happened every year, and nothing was different. Sure maybe the people and the speeches were, but it was the usually the same thing. He was hoping to see Ophie in his travels here, but she must have found some better friends, for he hadn't even seen a blonde curl since he had stepped foot on that train. Then again, he really didn't go anywhere from the cart he had set up shop in. He had grabbed a few candies from the trolly, and that was that. His owl, Athena, had slept quietly, and when the carriages arrived to the platform, he was sure to get on one that didn't have many people in it. He wasn't up for talking today.
Did she see who she thought she saw? Was that King Blue Eye's himself being grumpy at the end of the Ravenclaw table? He was constantly grumpy since his sister had been born, although she supposed he had REASON to be. Because the blonde hadn't understood any of it and wanted to help him, she went to her mom during the summer. The twelve year old still remembered her parents shining face darken as the second year explained, and the long and depressing conversation that had come afterwards. Apparently, she was going to have to give him time, as these kinds of wounds didn't just heal over night. But patience was not a virtue Ophelia had to offer, especially when her friends were all blue and sad.
Smiling over at the elder, Ophelia waved and hoped he caught that. Because it was always nice to say hello. And because she wanted to hug him and ask how he was doing. She was an affectionate one, that Ophelia. What could she say? The kid enjoyed hugs. It was her only weakness.
