He wasn't smiling. Nope. There was no smug look on his face and Gavin was most certainly not still highly amused by the events of the morning gone by. Of course not because then he'd be a horrible boyfriend but maybe he was, you know?. There was never a time when he didn't appreciate the right kind of attention and until the proposal, he'd been content to let her stay that way for a while longer but no.... That was enough. No need to get her into anything worse. It'd be bad enough once she snapped back to normal and remembered the whole thing.
This was just one of those times he was glad to not be Zeke Rogers. No telling what he'd get when Emily went home. As for Ashley (because there's no way he'd believe she didn't have a part to play) he was still rolling somewhere between dead amused and....no, there was no other end of the scale. He was simply dead amused.
"This seems like a good spot." He said, breaking the silence that had followed them to the park. No wonder too. If he acted like THAT he'd be at a loss for words too.
