If not, we could pick up something later." Shrug.
How long could the girl blush for? Because it had been going on for a bit, yeah? Was it because of him? He really didn't regret any of his actions. Instead, Alec grinned in response, very much amused with the blushing and sheepishness. She didn't know what he was talking about? [B]"You know exactly what I'm talking about, Bishop."[B] The hand squeeze was much appreciated and it made the boy smile smile wider because of it. Nice, this was. They could stay like that here forever, yeah? "Yeah? So... has she finished uni?" And why did he get the feeling Sophs would try and have a funfetti wedding cake?
The song was catchy and nice, meaning that the band were really good. The hand waving continued right up until...
... ... Uh oh. Oh no.
A VERY sheepish expression crossed his face and he almost looked like a deer that had been caught in deadlines. Almost. Because the question was new and he, himself, couldn't believe that something like that had happened. "I... the song's catchy!" That was a good reason, right? "Well... that depends on if I've stepped on your toes yet." Alec's blue eyes glanced down at her feet in case, but his hips continued to wiggle around as the next song started up. This wasn't bad but he wasn't going to tell the girlfriend that. Not when he was currently trying to twirl her out in time to the slow tune that was playing.
"Sounds like a plan, Summers." No starving, okay? They'd figured it out after dancing. DANCING. 'Cause he was
dancing today.
Ella
did know and she tried very hard to play dumb but her smile betrayed her. Yes, she did these things on purpose and no, she wasn't sorry.
Okay, maybe she was sorry a tiny bit. "I think she'll be done after this year, actually." The blonde furrowed her brow thoughtfully, not entirely sure that was true. She couldn't recall exactly how long Soph's
program lasted but she knew the brunette was close to being done.
...
She was having so much fun, did he know? The stupid grin was plastered to her face as he spun her out and she did her best to tell him how impressed she was with his skills over the music, though it was quite loud. The fact that he was dancing so much meant a lot too because she knew he wasn't really a fan and
she appreciated it because she loved it. He'd be getting kisses later, just saying.
When the lights went out, the blonde grabbed hold of Alec's hand and tugged him closer to the stage, leaving a chorus of 'excuse mes' and 'pardon mes' in her wake. She MIGHT have even nudged a few of the rowdier fans out of the way and would inevitably feel guilty about it later but their classmates were playing now, see? She wanted to have a good spot for this.
And then they were rocking out and Ella grinned and dancing happened again, her eyes flicking from the band members she'd gone to school with to Alec and back again. They were good, yeah? Did Alec see Nigel's hair? Still great. And their original songs? The blonde felt proud of them and it's not like she'd ever been particularly close to any of the people on stage but she admired them for sticking with what she understood to be a really hard thing to get into. They'd gone from Hogwarts to a stage like this and it seemed like it'd be just the start for them too. They'd only be doing bigger and better things from here based on the roar of the crowd and it was exciting to witness, even from afar. How could you not be proud
and a little bit envious of people who were having their dreams coming true? It was hard
not to be proud.
