Based on "The Ataris'" version of "The Boys of Summer." Toto * RotiSila * ToRo * Braveheart * Grandma & Mama Tori Timofey couldn’t help the grin that spread across his face as he heard a large round of applause after he finished his version of ‘When the Stars Go Blue’. As he put the strap around his neck, and adjusted the guitar in front of him he laughed at Sasha and a mixture of other voices yelling at him from the crowd. “Perfect, let’s go!” His fingers felt like they were flying across the neck and strings of his guitar, his fingers stumming the guitar with his plectrum between his fingers. Nobody on the road, Nobody on the beach
I feel it in the air, The summer's out of reach
Empty lake, empty streets, The sun goes down alone
I'm drivin' by your house, Though I know you're not at home
But I can see you-, Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got your hair combed back and your sunglasses on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong, After the boys of summer have gone
Bobbing his head slightly as he played, he once again tapped his foot on the stage to keep his timing. His sang into the microphone and almost had to laugh at the feeling of joy he got from being on the stage performing. His nerves were completely gone now; now he just wanted to party... and this was the first of his summer anthems to be played. There were plenty more where they came from as well, he’d keep going as long as they let him stay on the stage. I never will forget those nights, I wonder if it was a dream
Remember how you made me crazy? Remember how I made you scream
Now I don't understand what happened to our love
But babe, I'm gonna get you back, I'm gonna show you what I'm made of
I can see you-, Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
I see you walkin' real slow and you're smilin' at everyone
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong, After the boys of summer have gone
Looking over the crowd, he grinned as he saw them jumping and dancing around like fools who were free for the weekend – or even for the summer. It didn’t seem to matter how long you were free for when music was involved, as long as you could listen to and let it sweep you away from whatever worries were currently present in your life. Personally, Tima couldn’t think of a single thing he had to worry about when he left the stage later on today; he was simply having too much fun. Out on the road today, I saw a BLACK FLAG sticker on a Cadillac
A little voice Inside my head said, 'Don't look back. You can never look back.'
I thought I knew what love was, What did I know?
Those days are gone forever, I should just let them go but-
I can see you-, Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that top pulled down and that radio on, baby
And I can tell you my love for you will still be strong, After the boys of summer have gone
I can see you-, Your brown skin shinin' in the sun
You got that hair slicked back and those Wayfarers on, baby
I can tell you my love for you will still be strong, After the boys of summer have gone
As Tima sang the end of his second song, he grinned wide again. He couldn’t help it – his family and friends were as happy as everyone else in the crowd even if they were the first and only people in the crowd whom he could name. He let go of the neck of his guitar, and held the mic with one hand. ”So, was that better?” He asked, his voice tinged with a slight Russian accent but nothing that would stop the likely- to-be mostly British crowd. ”Ready for another?” Viktoriya was proud. SO SO SO PROUD that she felt like she was going to burst. After over fifteen years of Tima sitting through dance recitals and different competitions lending her support and a shoulder to lean on when she was wracked with nerves before said competitions, it was nice to be here to support him. She knew that his music was amazing, after all he put as much time and practise into them as she did to her dancing and her languages. However, it was nice to see that his English was as perfected as his Russian and his German.
She sang along to Tima, grinning and holding Sasha's hand as they both sang along like the proud family that they were. Dancing, she laughed as for once she had to resort to shuffling from one foot to the other; something she normally hated but with the packed street it also wasn't something that she felt she could do more than. She and Sasha didn't have a full dance floor to themselves right now, after all. She grinned at the thought however as she clapped and screamed and whooped loudly as Time moved from his piano towards the guitar that was center-stage.
As he started singing again, she laughed and joined in again. She herself loved this song; in most of the versions she had ever heard. However much space she had, she couldn't help but dance with more enthusiasm than she had to the ballad Tima had just finished. She laughed and danced with Ana and her friend Kenzie as Tima continued to rock the concert.
