Book update! Quote:

"Stupid frogs," the Headmistress murmured, pushing away from her shelf and entering the fray again. At least the book was distracted, because Annie was going around and freezing pixies that were braiding the children's hair. All pixies collected were placed into Botros' box.
As she proceeded calmly through, Anastasia directed her laser blue eyes at the standoff happening by the book. "Remember who the REAL enemy is, Cambridge," she called out. "Keep talking to the book. DON'T ACTUALLY touch it, Zander. Kevin, point your wand at it, but not to light it on fire." Actually, that gave her an idea.... "EVERYONE, wands out and at the ready. Point them at the book. We're going to sweet-talk our way out of this." Now what did that book want to hear? As Alexa had said, there had to be a way to make it dormant again.... Quote:

Expulsion didn't matter at this point. Her future was set in one way or another and returning here in September was no longer on her to-do list. Shame he'd recovered what little wits he'd had.
Even more shame, the Professors weren't trying to make her repeat the threat so Kevin could hear; just something about happy endings. It didn't really click in her head after Botros clarified, not until Mr. Kitridge adding that stories ended that way.
The situation may have just gotten funnier. Oh Merlin. There was just no way. "What? You actually think that me saying 'everyone lived happily ever after' will have some effect on the book?" Snort. "I was only joking earlier when I said it." But apparently that hadn't been clear.
She would admit it was strange the book the calming down but she wasn't sure she'd attribute that to words just yet. Quote:

"We ALL need to say THE MAGIC WORDS." The magic words, being, "Happily Ever After," Annie amended, looking around with a bright bright nod. Whaat, she was very cheered by the singing flowers. Who DIDN'T just love singing flowers?! They were so inspiring!
But back to the book. "So, wands out, smiles on," she demonstrated, pointing her wand at the book too. "And... HAPPILY EVER AFTER on three. ONE... TWO.... THREE!"
... "HAPPILY EVER AFTER!"
