Knowing that the future Minister of Magic could've possibly been in this conference room, Alex smiled back and showed respect as he always did to people higher in the food chain in terms of work, and lower of course too.
"Oh no problem, I love social gatherings. I hear you're running to be Minister of Magic? That is amazing!" Jordan said excitedly as he thought about the power but responsibility of being Minister of Magic. He imagined what it would be like to be the Minister of Magic, he imagined it would be something similar as a Headmaster of a wizard school like Hogwarts but on a much much larger scale than that.

Noticing another person come in, Mariel watched him for a moment, noting he was unfamiliar but quickly realized why. His paperwork had come across her desk the other day and she had been expecting him. Nice to see that he was prompt in attending this meeting. "Nice to meet you as well Mariel." Alex said as he firmly shook her hand. This was the Department Head for Magical Games and Sports so he needed to make a good first impression, especially since she was his boss.
"Oh yes, it is quite nice here at the Ministry and especially at the department of Magical Games and Sports." Although Alex had only been there probably close to a week, if that, Alex had enjoyed every second of being in the Ministry with the Department of Magical Games and Sports. He considered it a blessing for his job to be dealing with a department that deals with Games and Sports matters. Instead of having some crummy hard-working (in terms of labor work that is) muggle job, he could enjoy his job by working with Games and Sports of magic, a true dream job.
