just watching and bouncing and waiting Lovely™ | Captain Hurted | Ariana's Bane | Resident Antagonist | Unparalleled Delight
Toby was used to taking up a goalkeeper position in Quidditch and all, was used to having to hang back and watch the action and sort of hope that the ball would come his way whilst simultaneously feeling pleased that his team was playing well enough that he didn't really need to do so much. Usually, though, he was on a broom, and could sort of circle the hoops, whereas right now this whole STANDING thing just wasn't doing it for him.
So Toby jumped.
On the spot.
Over and over.
And over.
He kept his eye on the ball and tried to watch its progress. A couple of times it had come close but those defenders were really on the ball (heheh) with clearing the ball from the scoring area. Every now and then there would be too many people in the way and his view of the ball would be blocked for a second, but for the most part Toby's attentions were TOTALLY FOCUSED for once; it was the effect that sports had on him. Same happened with video games.
That Gryffindor girl had it right now, and Toby kept looking between her face and general body language, and then the ball, still bouncing away. Soon it would just be him and the ball.
And he was ready.
