She listened to Ian and nodded encouragingly. "That is an interesting thought Ian. Mirros are different because they are reflective, but just like the crystal ball your inner eye opens up to see the images you are destine to see." She would try to show an example soon enough. Ian certainly got snaps for her thoughts. "Not exactly Adi, but good thoughts." She loved to hear everyone's thoughts and guesses even if that weren't correct so Snaps to him. "Exactly!! Very good!" She got snaps for such an awesome answer!
Seeing her send a kneazle over to the basket Cassie should have know, she had felt the presence but was distracted. Slipping her wand out she put a protection on the other items, not that she thought the kneazle would break them or use the Micky plush as a scratch toy, but to keep the fur and allergies away, just in case. "Very good Alexa, thank you. " "Very good Toby, it is like the crytal balls and we do have to clear our minds." He got snaps and then a wider grin as he asked about the items. "It might, but you'll just have to wait to see that little part." Oh yes that was the fun part for later in class. "Yes, wonderful Kace. In any form of Scrying you must clear your mind." Giving him snaps she moved on to the next person. "Yes, exactly just as others have said, you will clear your mind just as the crystals ball scrying." Angel got some snaps too. "Well it is something you have to train to do. The mirror scrying is one of the harder forms. I do not expect anyone to get it right away. You might not even get it this term, but it's something that I think is valuable to learn to do." Aj got snaps for a great question. "Very good Zhenya, It is harder, but you do the same focusing things. Some will stand off to the side a bit to be less distracted and it's always good not to have so much behind you for the mirror to pick up." she was getting snaps for such a great answer. "Yes Eden clearing your mind is fantastic." She got snaps, but then a side note Cassie had to make sure she knew, "Really thinking about one think could possibly make your mind clouded and not open to see what is needed. Now if you are in search of something you might want to keep it in your thoughts, but not make it your main focus." She knew that was a bit confusing, but he would try to clear it up in a bit. "That is a very good way of putting it Grayson, but just as the crystal balls you are just looking into the glass. Though if that helps clear your mind, then certainly thinking of it as a still strip of water would be perfect." Snaps for Grayson as well. "Toby could be on to something, but it doesn't have to do with scrying just yet. Good guess though." Cinna got smiles and snaps as well.
Walking in front of the mirror Cassie looked at it for a few moments before turning to the class. "Now with the crystal ball I said that you find a connection with it. There is a sense of owner ship with it, but with the mirrors it's a different style of connection. You want to clear your mind just like the crystal ball. Have nothing clouding her inner eye from awakening." She closed her eyes and took a few deep breaths. "Now once you have your mind cleared and your inner eye open, my advice is to stand not directly in front of it, but just off to the side. You might want to turn the mirror so just the wall is showing. This will help you stay less distracted. Now as you look into the mirror you should start to see a foggy like transformation before the visions start to come." Looking back at the mirror she went silent for a bit. "Oh look I see Snow White and she's singing a cute little song." She chuckled not even able to get it all out, "I'm kidding I'm kidding. See I can have some fun with the awful situation. No, really I saw Grayson at the lake and Eden at the stables." Interesting, maybe it had some meaning to them or would in the future. "Now over here I have some bowls. What do you think the bowls have to do with scrying?" Quote:

Looking to Zhenya first Cassie couldn't help but give a grin. This one was on her toes for her first lesson here. "Very good Zhenya, just as I did right now, we do fill the water into the bowl and the reflective water makes it able to scry with." Giving her snaps she moved to the next one with a hand up.
Oh and another great answer here she gave Hugh snaps and nodded, "Very good, but let's keep positive about it. I am sure with a little practice even if you don't get it today you can scry with all these items we've talked about." Giving him a encouraging smile she had faith in all her students, even Alexa, that they could do it. "Yes, yes exactly right." Heather got snaps, though Cassie watched her eyes to the basket. She could see where the Kneazle made people nervous, but no worries Cassie was on top of it.
Listening to Toby she couldn't help, but give him snaps. It was a great answer even if it was a little off. "Yes, we do use bowls to clean things, but typically there are special clothes for the crystal balls and the mirrors, well we could use the soap and water, but a quick cleaning spell does just as well. " Such a great guess though!
Beaming at Norah she gave more snaps, "Yes, very good. That's exactly the concept of scrying with bowls." She had the brightest students in her class. "Yes very good Lux!" She got snaps as well. This was going better then she could have ever expected!
Another very bright student, it was wonderful to see! "Great job, you are right. You can scrying with bowls and water." Snaps for Jasmine! "It can, bowls and water are actually used for a few different forms of Divination, but one is scrying." Did anyone else know the other forms? Hmmm maybe she'd ask later.
Zeke had a very creative mind, she already knew this, but his thoughts on things did amaze her. She beamed at him. "That is possible. Depending on the bowl you can get more visuals with larger then smaller ones. So you have a point there." He certainly got snaps for his creative questions. "The best seers can to scrying through any forms of reflective pieces, but it takes years of practice. So for now we will just focus on the basic and most well known ways."
Was it wrong to be a little freaked out by Alexa being so.. happy? Well she couldn't help but watch her a moment before giving her snaps. "Very good you do put water in just as I did. Then clear you mind and start your scrying." Very spot on today Alexa, what was the change? Though Cassie was excited to see it!
She just blinked at Angel's answer, "No, no we won't. That would not be nice at all. It would certainly not wake up the mind that we are trying to wake up. That would distract even the best seers." Goodness she hoped the girl was joking. Giving her a small encouraging smile, Cassie knew it was time to move on.
Moving the bowl to the front of the room Cassie looked down into it. "Now once you have your bowl, you will want to fill the water to almost the top. I wouldn't do the entire bowl just because it might splash out if you bump into it. That would cause concentration to certainly leave and your inner eye to close." They didn't want to do that now did they? "Just like the mirrors, scrying with other objects that aren't the crystal ball can be a bit more difficult. So if you haven't mastered the crystal ball do not get frustrated if you don't end up mastering either of these forms for a while either, but I know each and everyone of you have the talent so just keep practicing." Training and dedication were the key. "Now unlike the mirror, water will move so the images can seem like they are flickering. You must try to find a place that a bowl will not be bumped or there is no vibration that could move the water while you are trying to do your scrying." Were they getting all of this? She knew she was giving them a lot of information, but it was needed. "Now we must not get this form of scrying confused with other forms of Divination that use bowls of water. If you are trying to use the water outside you must be especially careful not to fall into another form." No birds or rocks around the classroom though so no need to worry. "Now I'd like to give you a chance to try out both these forms. I don't have enough bowls or enough mirrors for everyone to do it at once, so I want half the class to start on the mirrors and half the class will come get a bowl and start with the water. You can decide which you will do first. In about twenty minutes you'll hear a little timer go off that will indicate to switch. So go ahead and get started, if you have any questions feel free to ask." Vanishing the water from her own bowl she took it back to the table so someone else could use it. OOC: Alright everyone this is the first activity. Have your charrie pick which they would like to do first and RP them doing it. Once done with the first item there will be no timer or anything just have them move to the second. This should be done in at least six posts, three for the mirror and three for the bowl of water. You will have until Friday evening 10 p.m. est to finish the first activity before we move on. Cassie and I will be here if needed! Quote:

Tea always helped her feel relaxed; maybe because it was so warming and soothing. She definitely liked tea more than coffee though she didn't mind coffee. Hot chocolate was the best though.
After taking another sip. Lux put her cup down beside the bowl and closed her eyes. If she was correct in her guess, the technique was the same with the bowl of water as it was with the crystal ball and the mirror. She needed to get into a totally relaxed slate with her mind empty of all thought. Working to clear all the negative energy from her body, she started doing deep breathing In and out.... In and out...
Eden listened carefully when Morgan spoke. So they had to clear their minds...keep it clear...and merely keep what they were looking for in the background? Gee--that sounded hard! HARD. She merely scribbled it all down in her notes in her own words and smiled at Cinna. Because She liked Cinnamon Roolllllll. One of her favorite lions!
She was also FIERCELY scribbling down everything Professor Morgan said--looking at her parchment only--when Morgan mentioned Snow White Eden's head SNAPPED up--her eyes wide in TERROR--MERLIN'S PANTS--and then when she started laughing Eden clutched her chest. "don't TEASE us like that, Professor--" she said with a soft chuckle, shaking her head slightly at her silliness.
OH.
SHE SAW EDEN. AT THE STABLES. She wondered what in Merlin's name she was doing there--she DID frequent there sometimes--when she had more free time. Hmm. Intereeeesting.
Bowls of water. Eden figured it was the same as a mirror--the reflective thing--yeah. Most people have said that, so, Eden didn't feel the need to respond. Just takin' some notes over hereeee! But soon they were getting a chance to choose either a mirror or water--Eden wanted to try the mirror again! So she'd be doing that one, first, heh. She stood and slipped over to the mirrors, grabbed one, and felt SOOOO relaxed--much more so than last time they dealt with mirrors--and sat back down in her seat, wiggling her bum to get aaaallll comfy.
Okay. Time to START.
Clearing her throat, she stared down at the mirror and closed her eyes, clearing her thoughts completely. It would be hard work. She just had so much on her mind right now-but she had to try at least.
