There were a few things that Toby owned that were special to him. His pogo stick and skateboard, for example, although he'd sort of had to talk himself out of bringing those with him. There was also certain gifts from his parents that he'd gotten on his birthday and Christmas, but Toby was unwilling to part with them for even a moment. In the end, it had actually been remarkably easy to choose what to bring along.
"Hi Professor," the Hufflepuff grinned at Professor Morgan, noting how happy she was and feeding off her positive energy at once. He found himself giving her a little salute that was usually reserved for professors like Airey.
Tobias now paused at the snap!teacup, getting out a scrap of parchment and a self-inking quill to write his proud thought down. After a few moments of writing, he threw in his contribution, the first unfiltered thought that came to mind:
Quote:
I'm proud of myself for not having any more OWL related breakdowns and staying positive even though the exams are super stressful and possibly trying to kill me
Then, the Hufflepuff rifled through his schoolbag for his personal item, finally pulling out the pair of fairy wings he'd received from Wade from his thirteenth birthday. They were human-sized, of course, and the ones that Toby could occasionally be seen wearing around the castle, and also dropped glitter all over the place. They were incredibly special to Toby.
After carefully tucking the wings into the basket (and maybe probably sorta accidentally getting a little bit of residual glitter on the desk and basket and some of the things
in the basket), Toby went off to sit down. He found himself drawn to a seat right by
Grayson, his fellow fifth year, and flashed the Slytherin a smile in greeting.
Who else was here? Toby couldn't see Soph yet, but he figured it was possible that when she showed up she'd be taking a seat by him. The Hufflepuff got out his note-taking things and surveyed the room, absently brushing away the glitter that was still on his hands.
