Nine different runes. That wasn't so bad....and yes, it'd been a mess in class....but he had been practicing carving in his free time. So, maybe this wouldn't be that awful...or that time consuming.
Intaglio....plus the name. No issues. He could do it.
After some throat clearing, he angled the bookmark and steadied his wand. It was just Clara watching him.....and he didn't care about her opinion. Not really. Heh. "Intaglio.......intaglio, intaglio.....sowilo, sowilo, sowilo, sowilo, sowilo....." He was speaking in a normal tone; none of the mumb,king from before.....focusing on how he remembered the rune to look. In fact, he'd decided to get all the sowilo runes out of the way...and then concentrate on uruz and jera.
"Intaglio......intaglio, intaglio........sowilo, sowilo, sowilo, sowilo.............Intaglio, intaglio, intaglio.....sowilo, sowilo, sowilo, sowilo."
......Once those began showing up....Gabe felt relieved....smiling just a little and beginning on the Jera runes. They were more interesting looking in his opinion, anyway. Subconsciously, Clara was over-thinking and thinking about many useless things, such as: whether things were still awkward between the two of them and how much/little she should talk to Gabe during this. Of course, those things were subconscious and there were more pressing things on her mind. Homework things.
Having left her notes in her dorm, she leant forward slightly and read over Gabe's when he offered. The redhead was quite confident she could remember what exactly all the runes were but there was no harming in making sure of that. Plus, it was a generous act from Gabe and one that she appreciated, although she wouldn't be saying so.
She began with Swoilo.
"Intaglio ... Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo..." It helped that Gabe was saying it, too. Just for confirmation that she was doing it right.
She also chose to do what Gabe was doing and get each Swoilo rune out of the way. "Intaglio ... Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo..." ... So far, so good. The runes were looking good. "Intaglio ... Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo ..... Intaglio ... Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo, Swoilo..."
............................. Now onto the next. |
