Zander wasn't really sure what to make of the look that Kevin was giving him. One minute it was all confused... The next minute he looked interested... And then... Like he wanted to join in the effort? Well, either way Zander's expression was probably even more confusing. He was both excited and nervous at the same time even though he really didn't even know what that meant. It was a different kind of rush, doing something against the rules. But also, it was super risky and what if Wicked Walton walked in and caught him in the act-- which could happen at any moment so of course there was that fear!!!

The Gryffindor looked at Kevin with disbelieving eyes. If anyone were to enforce school rules, Kevin would most certainly be the last person for the job. But that grin, that grin definitely gave it away, and Zander could finally let out a breath of relief. Had he really been holding that in the whole time? Whoops. In response, Zander just let out a light chuckle, still being perfectly careful about the noise he was making, trying to keep it at a low. In case. Maybe Kevin did teach him well? Maybe even a little tooo well. Boy, this was starting to scare him! The younger Gryffindor was really having an impression.

But then came the important questions. The ones Zander wasn't really sure how to answer. Though essentially he was stealing the plants out of fear that Wicked Walton was mistreating them and not taking care of them the way that Beautiful Bentley did, it was more than that. Maybe it really was an act of retaliation. Of course, the latter option did sound a lot cooler and that's the one Kevin would want to hear and help with, so he nodded and even smiled a bit-- UNTIL, Kevin started with that impersonation.

So it's like a win-win," Wicked Walton would freak out because his plants were missing and the plants would be in way better care than with that nasty man. Everyone benefitted. Except Wicked Walton, but there was a reason for that. And then, when Kevin finally offered Zander felt a huge grin tug onto his face. Did he need help?? Did he ever!! "Yeah!!" he exclaimed excitedly, trying to keep as quiet as possibly despite the happiness. "And if we can find a way to smuggle up a bunch at one time that'd be good too." So what, the plan was a little under developed? "We just have to get them out as quickly as possible."
