Gavin paused a few moments after the Minister had said all he had to, for those who felt they should need to give input and best wishes before giving a polite clearing of his throat to call some order once more. "Ms. Stephens gave the excellent idea for an end of year celebration and it's something we'll look into, but for now, a few more pressing issues."
He paused, going through the stack of papers set before him.
"As you all know and expect, we'll be calling for an election. This leaves us in a very tight crunch this year unless we handle it efficiently. I'll need my Media Liaisons keeping the vultures in check." And he might have been referring to one Reporter especially but to remain on the politically correct side, he named no names Jorge. "My Event Coordinator will need to keep abreast with all the planning that will need to be put into this election as well."
And did he have to mention how busy the PA's would suddenly become as a result of their bosses now being extremely busy getting everything in motion. Somehow it seemed to go without saying--for him at atleast but he gave each of them a brief look just in case.
"With a new Minister, it might be time to revise some of the legislation we have in place. Ministry Advisors and Junior Undersecretary, don't be surprized to find yourself interacting with me a little more often til we can get it sorted. The aim is to have the process run as smoothly as possible."
There was another pause as he scanned down the list he had. "Secretaries will need to be working closely with the Events Coordinator," yes, even the Supervisor, "as we'll be needing a lot of hands on deck. Are we all clear with this?"
