This was the sucky part of the activity, because it involved waiting and Lux wasn't always the most patient person. Oops. It was especially bad for her during this activity because there wasn't a set time.
What if she ended up waiting a million hours? Melodramatic, but it COULD happen.
Deciding to be productive instead of chatty and knowing that others were trying to work on their plants as well, she opened her textbook to get some more Ancient Runes knowledge because she sure needed it. Homework was the worst when it came to this class because she always had to look at the textbook a million times and sometimes ask for help on top of that. After every paragraph she would look at her plant to see if it was healthy.
It started slowly, but over time she DID notice a change in her plant. For the better at that. Awesome, so she hadn't accidentally poisoned it or something. BEAM. Maybe she was better at this Ancient Runes stuff than she gave herself credit. Feeling better about herself, she went back to reading the textbook while giving the occasional glance at her plant.
When she finally saw it completely healed, she looked at the clock and saw that it had taken her a liiiiiiittle over two hours. Not bad at all. She was very pleased with herself actually. Happily she recorded notes on how well the spell worked as well as how long it took her (two hours and four minutes). |
