Eden had her backpack slung over her shoulder, her negatives safely tucked in there while she tried to find a spot in the room. Lots of people were her doing their homework, apparently. Well. IT WAS due soon. So she supposed procrastination--yeah. Lots of people did it. MHMM.
Picking one of the computers, and eyeing the scanner next to it---she tried NOT to think of the NIGHTMARISH experience she had at home with their scanner. Her mammy needed one for work sometimes. And often, when her mam had first started her job, she had needed a LOT of things scanned from their house to her computer at her job. Muggle mothers and their...issues.
Can't you help me with MAGIC? she'd always ask her husband--but Eden's father always refused, and had to explain ALL the statute laws and blah blah blah...Eden was so used to it. Besides all of that----it meant that Eden KNEW how to use a flippin' scanner.
Flipping the switch for the scanner on, she made sure the two were ACTUALLY connected--and then she opened her bag and pulled out her notebook and her negatives. She flipped her notebook to the page where the instructions were--right. And she knew one of her pictures would be smudgy already...yep.
SIGH.
She'd get to that, though--for now, she just figured out how many strips of negative she had. It looked like there was only room for five. Well. Did she have scissors anywhere--she didn't see any in her bag--whoops. She stood and glanced around--AHA---
SCISSSSSORS!
Right over there! Eden made a grab for them quickly and then sat back down and cut the first five. Well. She could hear the two boys in there talking--but Eden was too shy to say anything. had she taken their scissors? She sure hoped not
She swiftly replaced them back where she had found them-almost as if she hadn't taken them in the first place!
