‘Think about it’ Ellie’s words rang in Max’s head, how could he not think about it? He had a chance to make the world a safer place, sure it was dangerous but Elliot was gone. He had Maddie around and that was nice but how long would that last? Summer was nearly over.

Maddie would be better off without him. Maybe he was misguided but he felt like this was right, if he could just ask someone, but he had to vanish, like a ghost, A misguided ghost. The pain of it he couldn’t tell anyone. He was going undercover.
