Derek thankfully fielded Harmony's inquiry about the glumbumble treacle. Something that they had gone over before but, as the man had explained, was not as simple a fix as that. Wouldn't THAT have been nice? Simple and straightforward solution to a seemingly complex situation. He would just let those two get to it then.
"Then we better make sure we act fast," he replied to the green (blue?) haired wonder. Or, you know, what Emmalee had just said. "We'll take whatever sample we need today. In the meantime it will be up to you and your people, Harmony, to try and keep them as comfortable as possible. We won't know just how much time we have on our hands until we process these DNA results."
He turned to Emmalee and removed some equipment from his pocket - completely sterilized, for the record. "No need. I'll speak with your Department Head. You and Derek should start collaborating immediately." He then made his way towards Harmony again, and winced slightly. This was the more unpleasant part of the job. "Now...if you don't mind holding that guy still for a minute...I'm going to take a blood sample," he said to the Department Head while reaching out to hold the creature's arm still.
