After handing him the permission slip that she had labeled Astronomy field trip permission slip, National Space Centre, 7 March 2085, Penelope turned her attention to the words on the chalkboard. Grabbing a pamphlet and her envelope, she spotted Thornton at the edge of the room. She walked over to where the first year was. "Good morning, Thornton! Are you looking forward to the trip?"
"Hi Penelope," Thornton said, smiling as the girl approached him. He hadn't had much of chance to talk to her recently but she'd kept him company during the asteroid freak-out during the first lesson and he was grateful.
"I am," he replied, scuffing the ground with his shoe.
"I've never been anywhere like that before. What about you?" Quote:

Oh. Was she coming over.. yep. Yep she was. Thornton recalled the blushing and the cheek poking from History of Magic and wondered if he'd been terribly awkward.
"Hi Dot," he said, waving hesitantly as she skipped over.
He looked back over to Penelope, and then back again at Dot.
"Do you two know each other?" Cause if not, he'd introduce them. But introducing them if they already knew each other was awkward.
Out of the corner of his eye, he saw Lex enter the room and smile at him. She got a wave, too.
