"I do," Albert studied the backs of his hands for a long moment while he gathered his thoughts. He knew most of the faces in the room already, but it was quite nice to see a few new ones sprinkled in the crowd. He'd have a whole year to get to know them... and get them ready to support their next boss.
"I haven't announced it outside these walls yet, but I wanted to let you lot know first... I've decided that this is my last year serving as Minister. It's been a wonderful experience, and I'm quite pleased with all we've accomplished during my tenure. I hope we'll spend this next year getting this office into tip top shape for my successor. Thank you all for your past and future efforts."
