Benny just shrugged at Adi's comment. It wasn't like he could really drag Angel and AJ from their dorms, or even just the common room. He hadn't really seen either of them that morning. The fourth year did notice when his girlfriend did in fact arrive to the class, offering a small friendly smile in her direction. But the expression was short-lived as the professor came soon after and it didn't take much to realize she wasn't exactly herself.

The queen comment reminded him of Lex and the Gryffindor gave a quick glance. Only as the story was read, Ben looked back at the professor and noticed the glowing book. It was the one from the common room...the one Professor Flamsteed had grabbed for and he had touched before the older man went crazy. Was it what made him become the Mad Hatter too? The fourth year paled at the thought. "Get rid of that book..." he mused almost under his breathe.
He just didn't trust it. Regardless of the truth.
