After a rather productive morning and relaxing lunch, Mariel gathered her things to get ready for the first department wide meeting of the new year. Though she felt a different tone to this one than the last year's, she was still rather looking forward to today and things they had to come. She was quite positive about the team they had and that attitude reflected on the smile on her face as she carried in her paperwork and tray of food.

She had already made sure that coffee, tea, assorted juices, and water were available at the small table near in the door and she set the tray of small sandwiches and bagels with cream cheese at the center of the table. Who didn't appreciate a mid-day snack? It seemed that she always did anymore now that she was eating for two and the brunette helped herself to a bagel, spreading on some cream cheese, before she went to get a cup of tea. Taking a seat at the head of the table, Mariel looked through her paperwork as she took a bite of her bagel, waiting for her employees to arrive.
