Luc rested his chin over the knuckles of his closed fist while he listened to her tale. Blinking, "Wow.. that sounded fun." "The wand movement is pretty hard.. especially when we're also expected to try it without speaking." Sometimes being an older student was a real pain. "How about we work on it together some more later? It'd be great if we can both do it wordlessly."

"Awesome! We'll share a banana split then. I'm sure the shopkeeper can give us a portion that is big enough for two." Claudette hoped. It was nice to find out that she and Luc had things in common.

Luc’s offer to help her learn to ice skate if the Lake were to refreeze immediately caused her to blush. What was with her today? "I'd like that." She gave a nod as she looked into his eyes and explained. "Getting up some speed isn’t the problem. It’s when I try to stop that I fall over flat." It was so frustrating. "You're uncle Charely thinks you’ll fall into the pool right? That's what my mum always worries about."

Detecting a vibe when Luc mentioned his parents Claudette almost reached out to squeeze his hand in sympathy but not being sure how that would be received she focused on the babysitting instead. Families were tricky. Hers wasn’t exactly perfect either. "Have you got some babysitting tricks? I usually babysit my sister when my mum is going away to things and my sister always manages to stick me in trouble by the end of the night."

Smiling enthusiastically Claudette said rolling her eyes "I know Professor Romanos has big expectations in us. Do you think she’ll mind if we practice the charm in one of hogsmeade shops? Without getting caught of course." Claudette knew just the shop. But only if Luc agreed.
