Kace heard her sigh of relief and smiled, "You didn't think I forgot did you?" he teased her a little bit. "Eh it was nothing.." he shrugged when she mentioned he didn't have to get her anything. "Plus I bet your candy storage is low soo why not add some more. Am I right?" He knew his girlfriend well so he must be right. He saw her looking at the menu and he picked his up. He clicked his tongue deciding on what he wanted. "Hmm you know what I think I am in the mood for some pancakes. How about you babe?" he asked her while she was looking at the menu. "Or unless you wanna get something to share and be the classic couple who shares an ice cream sundae..." he smirked and chuckled even more. He was up for both options.

He put his menu down and decided to hold her hand across the table and squeezed it. "So Emmy tell me how have you been?" he asked. He wanted to know if things were bothering her or if things were going alright.

Emmylou nodded. "I thought I was here on the wrong day." she confessed but she tell him that she was panicking about it. Nope, that was one thing that she didn't want her boyfriend to know but she knew that after she said that that Kace might sense that she panicked a bit. Did he really think that? Emmylou giggled at him. "I just got tons of candy for Christmas and I've been stocking up every since what happened last term." There was no such thing as too much candy. Emmylou shivered at the thought of ice cream. She still wasn't used to the cold and she still hated winter. The snow was pretty but the coldness was the devil. "I'll have some pancakes but I'll won't share with you." she gave him a wink with her ocean blue eyes.
