He reached across to tap the top of Sophie's hand. "You heard I made the Wanderers? I think I can't come back, not if I'm going to be a famous Quidditch star. But you're okay, right? When the tea was delivered, Caterina took on the role of hostess, pouring cups full and passing them out to first Sophie, then Mo, then herself. "Between you and Kyroh, you two are going to make me sad." She said this teasingly, though it did make her feel sad when she was asked to come back and she couldn't do that. "Besides, I'm busy being the girlfriend of a famous Quidditch player. It's a hard life." She was totally teasing again and grinned to show it.
"Extremely manly and good looking to boot." She wiggled her eyebrows at Mo and then wiggled her fingers too for good measure. What a cute boyfriend she had. Sophie turned her gaze away when Mo and Cat were being cute and flirty with each other - though perhaps in the past she would've teased them about it and made a dramatic comment and awww'd at them, Soph had grown up well enough to give them their time to be cutesy together without picking on them. Heh. Wait, Mo was being pouty with her? AND getting jealous over Jun? Soph stroked a hand across Cat's cheek to let her know she loved her before abandoning Cat's lap to crawl into Mo's instead. "You are a little old and boring and soft, but I like you just the way you are. And you're very manly and you're my big brother Mo and no one could replace you and I love you." There, okay? Was he happy? "You're a very impressive person and Quidditch player." She kissed his cheek. "I'm really proud of you for being a famous Quidditch star now." Even though he WAS off being one half of a dynamic Chasing duo without her.
"There's always weird stuff going on, Cat." She knew better, didn't she? Hehe. "I think Tobes and I brought back some kinda curse from Disney World 'cause people are ACTING like DISNEY characters! There was... let's see.... uh, it started with LEX being Maleficent, and I just thought she was doing that Gryffindoring thing you told me to watch out for," she was addressing Mo, "but then like... people were being Peter Pan and Aladdin and the Mad Hatter and... and FLAMSTEED was CAPTAIN HOOK and BOTROS was the KING DAD from The Little Mermaid!" She was VERY excited to be talking about this. "And, like, these people are SERIOUSLY into it, not like joking at all - Flamsteed even locked a student in a closet, calling it the... the "boo box" or somethin', and he almost KILLED me and Tobes with his hook."
Exaggeration? Perhaps just a little. But. The moment called for it.
"Nobody knows why. People are just... like... being... almost possessed by these characters. S'weird. So I think... y'know how they called Disney World, like, the most magical place on Earth or whatever? Maybe some super evil witch or wizard took that seriously and we brought back something cursed that's now spreadin' throughout the school. S'weird, 'cause me and Tobes have been fine, but..." She shrugged.
And paused.
"...That doesn't really explain the troll in potions class, though." Soph squinted, looking between Cat and Mo with a curious sort of expression on her face, "It was WEIRD - a troll stormed Culloden's class and tried to kill us all. That was when I got frozen solid," she added as a side note to Cat to let her KNOW how scary the whole entire situation had been. She could have DIED. "Can you think of any Disney stories that have trolls?" She couldn't think of one to explain that, if there was any relation at all.
