Her bright smile dimmed just slightly as she was questioned, even if she knew it was just for small talk, Nessa still had a twinge of self-doubt. She supposed that had a lot to do with her still being new, but it was still nagging at the back of her head. "Things are going just fine," she said, sitting back just a bit. "A little quiet on the first floor, but fine.." She would have thought that more students would seek her out and she wasn't sure if it was because they were learning sufficiently and didn't need her advice or if she was starting to get the reputation of being mean with the several disciplinary actions she had to take in some of her classes. That little thought was eating at her but she hoped that it wasn't really the case. She had a few things that she had wanted to put into place this term and she just wasn't sure that the students would be interested. But maybe it was that doubt that really said that she did need to put her plans into action. "Well, let's see," she said as she dug into the basket. "Oh!" she squealed, pulling some of the food out. "Look at the cutest little sandwiches ever!" Tiny little layered finger sandwiches that couldn't be more than a bite or two each. And macaroni salad. And deviled eggs. And fruit compote. Nessa pulled all the items out along with plates, silverware, and napkins. "So tell me.. how are things going since we've gotten back?" Maybe it was just a second year of teaching thing that they were both having some questions about things, but certainly they'd work it all out. “Well it was certainly a fabtastic idea.” She snapped for her best friend. It was just a wonderful idea. She loved picnics and their indoor ones were the best, “Though I do like our daydream ones like we had last term, but this is fun with the Armor. It’s kind of like we have our own personal body guards while eating.” She giggled, really they would never need body guards, but it was fun to suggest anyway.
Quiet on the first floor? Cassie nodded, she had to think if it was quiet on the seventh floor. Her office had a few visitors, but it was children with such different issues, but quiet? “Well there was a huge commotion the other day, but I think Airey was just getting overly excited in class or something.” She shrugged it wasn’t like the man wasn’t easily excited so she thought nothing of it and didn’t bother to even leave her Divination area. “What are you meaning by quiet? Like no one around or just no trouble going on?” She frowned a bit at the thought, “I’ve had a few run in’s lately, I had the oddest one with Zander the other day.” She shook her head, he was very mean, but at the same time she was struggling with the truth of it.
Focusing on the basket again Cassie was all smiles and snapping for the food. “It’s soooo cute.” How were they going to eat such cute little things. The elves always did such a fabulous job. Though she was hungry so of course she took a plate and some food to start eating. “They don’t have any meat on them, right?” She knew her best friend knew she was a vegetarian, but would the elves realize she was going to beating them too.
Taking a bite of the deviled egg she shrugged, “Things are going alright. Still thinking about revamping my lesson for my next class into something easier. I just think I’ve failed this term.” She wasn’t one that liked that word and scrunched up her nose. She needed to stay positive and she tried to think of a way.
