Suddenly enthused - even if the enthusiasm was limited to bright eyes and a raised hand which waved a little in the air above his head. "Ingredients! Like... the form they come in. If you put in something WHOLE instead of something that's been POWDERED then maybe the properties of the thing will be released slower and if it's powdered it speeds things up, and maybe if it's powdered instead of whole... it's also stronger because more of it can be... reacted to?"
It was an idea, an elaborate idea, and one that was likely wrong, but it was all he was able to offer to conversation.
