Ian made sure to note the 5 C's though he had been quite thoroughly taught these by Cosgrach. This had been particularly reinforced early in his potions career. Ian had been rather inept in his skills as a potioneer his second term and Professor Cosfrach had been persistent in his teaching efforts.

Ian thought about this and answered hesitantly, the potions take on the characteristics of the brewer. An example was the hate potion which changed, if done properly, to thee particular brewer's favorite color. This is obviously different in most people. Ian had said all that to mean that no two people could brew exactly the same potion.
