Oh good, the girl was leaving. It meant Hayden wouldn't be attacked again. It also meant she wouldn't have to be the one to leave, and therefore she wasn't the coward. This girl was. Er, maybe. Hayden was starting to slowly doubt if she really believed that? Did she really hate this girl? She'd never even met her. The power of her hatred was starting to lessen.

Hate potion? This girl was asking about the hate potion. "Yes," she answered warily. What was her point? Why would whether or not she'd taken the hate potion affect anything?

Oh.

The book dropped from Hayden's hand and landed with a loud thud. Suddenly, everything made sense. She didn't really hate this girl. Of course she didn't hate somebody she'd never met or heard of before in her entire life. How could she have been so mean? The 4'4" Hufflepuff girl suddenly felt very small. She stood where she was and stared at the girl, trying to come up with something to say. Some apology that might make everything better.

"I'm sorry." Her voice was very small. Her lower lip started to wobble and tears formed in her eyes. She tried her hardest not to cry and she didn't. At least, not yet.

Eden could see the the thought process she wanted her to go through....going through her head. The realization seemed to hit the younger girl's eyes, and Eden bit her lip and blushed. Yikes. She winced at the book hitting the floor loudly, and slowly reached out to pick it up...and held it out to her.

"I--" Oh no.

OH NO.

The girl was about to CRY--MERLIN! Eden's eyes widened in fear and she just--GAH--she did the only thing her brain could process right now--which was HUG THE GIRL. She hugged her, and she just pet her hair a little, and sniffled, too. "I'm sorry, too! Don't worry--I'm not hurt--I promise--pleasedon'tcry--" she said softly, pulling away, backing into one of the shelves, and looking quite uncomfortable and nervous right now.

She took out her empty potion bottle--"I took mine too--but I don't think I did it right--but I was trying to--get homework credit, you know?" she said before tucking it back into her robe.

SPOILER!!: JASMINE, DIFFERENT TIMELIME

"Are you thinking what I'm thinking?", Jasmine asked. "Let's get this show on the road." They would have to hurry. Several teams had already left and they would want to finish the hunt before time was called. This was going to be fun and Jasmine and her new partner headed for the door.

Eden had SO known where they were going--she could Jasmine did too--"YEP--" and they were bounding down the stairs, running practically, but Eden loved to run and she didn't mind going down the stairs...down was easier than up?

By the time they got to the library, though, Eden was out of breath, which was saying something, because the girl jogged EVERY morning pretty much. She glanced around for the next clue--and saw it--she could see a few other pairs in here already, but that was all right--as long as they finished, Eden would be happy!

Snatching the clue that one of the previous pairs had dropped, she read it a few times, holding it out so that Jasmine could read it too..."It sounds like the duegeons, right? Or am I crazy?" she asked, eyebrows raised at the other girl. Dark..dank...so sounded dungeon-y.
