"Just warming up,'' he said to his bestie. Riiiight. As if the Lion would fall for that.
Oh looky! One was directly over Benny's head! Well, it wasn't just hovering, it was zooming for side to side over his head. As if it were fascinated by the blond hair. LOL.
"Immobulus!'' A miss. "Immobulus!'' Annnnd a hit! Yes! First fairy down! "Gotcha. You're up, Dragon."
Benny paid close attention to what Adi was doing, wanting to react as soon as he might be needed so they didn't struggle to get the fairies. They already seemed wily enough on their own to not let human error get in the way of things. He shifted slightly as the Hufflepuff's first spell went out, frowning disappointed as the winged creature got away. "You can do it.." he encouraged his friend as the other boy teased about warming up.
Then he heard a sort of noise above his head. Was one nearby? The Gryffindor wished to investigate but didn't want to move lest he scare it off. Swallowing he waited for Adi's next move, eventually seeing two more spells cast and finally feeling the creature fall on his head. "Nice shot," Ben remarked as he gingerly picked up their quary and set it in his jar, covering it so it couldn't escape if it unfroze.
Now it was his turn.
The boy was already looking around, moving a bit too, in search of a fairy he could freeze for Adi. There was an occasional swift move past but too fast for him to react to their presence let alone get a spell off. Finally he spotted an area where a few fairies seemed to have escaped away from others. Maybe he'd have a chance at at least one. "Immobulus!" he cast, taking aim and inwardly wishing he knew how to do it wordlessly since the incantation and the flash seemed to warn them. The one he had aimed for getting away. "Immobulus," he fourth year cast again, trying to catch one as they fled but to no avail.
Boo.
