Of course, being that it was the worst feeling on the planet, it still seemed lackluster compared to the EMBARRASSMENT he currently felt....Especially since.....he didn't think he could get back up to the castle on his own.
.............and Gabe kinda wanted to cry. There was that, too.
Face flushed and pale, he rolled over onto his stomach, shakily getting up on his knees. He limbs were trembling so bad, there was no way he'd be able to stand. Let alone walk.
No, he was done for the day. He needed to...go...but he couldn't physically go.
Frustration. There was so much frustration...
..Yep this one wasn't going to be able to continue. "
You're excused from today.." But to Javier there was no use ending the lesson over this when it hadn't been from the creatures. "
Can someone make sure that Mr. Banner makes it to the Hospital Wing safely?" He was eyeing one of those who happened to sit by him mainly.

Oh. The jars. Oh. Oh.
Yep, Toby had totally forgotten about bringing a jar to the lesson and, upon searching his schoolbag, he discovered that his gloves hadn't made it to the class either. Oops?
Soooooooooo he had to go get a jar AND a sparkly pair of gloves provided by the professor, not that he minded being a GLITTER PRINCE today. In fact, if he'd have known, Toby would have worn the glittery wings that Wade had given him for his birthday so long ago.
Now armed with the glittery gloves (which he balanced on his shoulder for now) and a kind of dirty looking jar (that the Hufflepuff was cleaning using the corner of his crisp white school shirt, making it no longer all that clean and white, and as usual forgetting that magic was a thing), Toby headed over to the bushes too.
"We're not gonna keep them in the jars for very long are we-*coughcough*... sir?" he asked, kinda halting towards the end of that sentence. Man, let's not have another 'Piersie' fiasco, please. Toby just looked busy, continuing to use his school shirt and also his tie to try and get the grime and dirt off of the jar.
"
They'll still be alive when we let them out later." Certain corners of his lips threaten to twitch at the sight of what he was doing. It didn't help the little poke he had gotten earlier from a certain student. "
..'Scourgify' should clean that faster." Like so, he flicked his wand right at the boy's shirt and tie for proof.

He stood up from his place to grab one of the school jars because he didn't have one himself and when he held it in his hands he cleaned it with a quick scourgify and looked curiously at the Professor. They were gonna catch fairies? Cool! Are we gonna rip their wings off to gather ingredients?"...huh? He asked as he passed the Professor to enter the bush he held open for them. Oh and also, he was waiting for a spell they could use. Because then he could ACCIDENTALLY jinx Eden muwahaha. See? He was growing up! He actually planned his attacks now.
"
That sort of technique wouldn't gain us much benefit.." The wings were useless when merely ripped off.

So much disappointment in one afternoon but at least she'd had fun! How many exams could she say that about?
Also, they were meant to take JARS?? Since when? What? Was that a rule?? Next time she sent someone to check the noticeboard for her, she'd make them tell her the WHOLE thing or she could check herself if she wasn't so lazy.
Lex walked up and grabbed a jar--WAAAAIIIITTTTT. Merlin this was getting annoying.
"Er...Professor....I...I don't have a wand. D'you mind uh...scourgifying this for me?" She'd say please if it'd help.
Javier could understand some forgetting their items for class. Like the gloves or jars for instance.. but their own wand? His eyebrow rose at the Head Girl. She was lucky that this part could be done without one, though with its own difficulties. "
.. I suggest you partner up with someone then." Just this one time he cleaned the jar for her. "
Once class is over go and see the Headmistress about your situation." Having no wand would make her presence in other classes a waste of time until that was solved in his mind.

She hadn't brought a jar--oops--but she did smile and get up to grab one, glancing at Layla. She hoped SHE would at least enjoy this. The girl had probably never seen a fairy before! HOW EXCITING. She would ask Layla about this later.
Taking out her wand, she quickly cleaned it...and the gloves? and slipped them on...she raised an eyebrow at the professor, though, and had a question. "Professor? Fairies don't mind being caught?" she asked softly. Surely they must dislike it, unless they knew they wouldn't be hurt...somehow?
Good question. "
No more than butterflies would."
Now that they were making their way past the bushes, they could now hear the high pitch buzzing taking place more clear. The giggles were happening louder too, but sounded less creepy when considering the owners of them. There were many fairies flying around radiating a soft glow around as if dancing throughout the grove. One could say the sight was pretty, others well.. everyone had their own taste in scenery.
"
Now then.. We're going to be capturing at least one fairy in the jar. Two would be preferred so they won't be lonely." But that was their choice really on that. Now for the rules, "
There are a number of ways. Like pixies you can send a cooling charm to freeze them or like butterflies remain stealthy with just the jar and lid alone." A few fairies were floating on by the group curiously, perhaps the flashy glitter off some of the borrowed gloves captured their attention?
The Professor's eyes were still on the students while he casually removed the lid off his own jar. "
You can partner up with another if you so wish." Two of the fairies flew on away at the sight of the jar in his hands, "
Given their speed, it wouldn't hurt having some extra help." Then with a soft *plop*, the Professor raised his arms capturing one unsuspecting fairy over his head. "
Nothing to it." Though they were welcome to do the chasing route for one. "
Whenever you're ready get to it." Cause now the Professor was off to get another one while watching them.
----
OOC: As demonstrated, you are to complete the activity by capturing up to two fairies in the jar.
- You may Freeze/Stun them without injuring them.
- Chase them with only the lid and jar.
- Have one student do the distracting/chasing and the other help capture.
- Be careful not letting one escape for the second capture.
This should take at least four posts for full credit, and remember to label them. You will have until October 4th, 11pm EST to complete this.
