Hogwarts RPG Name: Lolita Carmen Inocencia Domingo | SPOILER!!: Smart Ben Quote:

Wait...wasn't 11 a master number?
Why then was it reduced?
The fourth year raised his hand, waiting until he was called upon to ask his question. "Um professor...was there any reason why you reduced the 11 that time? I thought it was a master number and to be left alone."
Aha, someone had noticed after all! She had wondered if anyone would be paying enough attention to catch the 'mistake' she had made. "Excelente, Señor Atreyu, sí. Estudiantes, your classmate has noticed what is likely the most common mistake in using the reduction method. Harry Potter's Life Path number was incorrectly reduced past 11, when in fact 11 is a master number." She scribbled out the 2 and instead circled the 11. "Take a point for Gryffindor, chico." SPOILER!!: The rest of you SPOILER!!: Ian Quote:

This one didn't seem much interested in teaching but more interested in sticking to a lesson plan.
Ian observed the equation and looked down at his list. Shouldn't be too much of a problem. He set about the equations for each.
Ian noted that 11 was a master number, but the professor reduced it. He shrugged and decided not to mention it. Maybe there was a special exception for Harry Potter.
Lolita began to circle the room and check on the students' progress. First she came to Ian. "We will be having a lesson on master numbers next week, chico. I think you'll get your questions answered then." She glanced at his work. "Good work." SPOILER!!: AJ Quote:

It was kind of cool to see the life paths of others, and how they compared to her. Sort of Divinationy. Heh.
Adi and AJ both were 9's. Did this mean they were soul mates or something?
And what did the Gryffindor have for her? Certainly not a surprise in her list of choices. "Looking good so far, dear." SPOILER!!: Adi Quote:

Two 7's and a 9. Cool. And what was that Benny was saying? Adi looked more closely at the board. How had he missed that? Guess he wasn't paying as keen attention as he thought he was. But good on Benny for picking up on the error. That was his bestie for you.
Another one who didn't shock her with his choice of people on the list. Josephina Hadley was certainly worthy of admiration. The woman was the reason that Lolita was here teaching in the first place, after all. The professor nodded her approval of the boy's work. SPOILER!!: Lex Quote:

It was still more effort than it was worth for numbers that probably weren't right anyway--like back in her second year when they talked about marriage. Yikes.
As it was, she only had her father's numbers to work through and she was willing to bet the rest of her galleons for this term that whatever it said, it wouldn't be right. Numbers lied. Professor Hadley used to say they never did but she knew better.
She couldn't wait to see where this one went. If it was funny enough she'd owl him about it.
The Head Girl had an incomplete list. "Perhaps use your own birthday to supplement those missing from your list, Miss Cambridge." Everyone knew the girl admired herself, after all. Hadn't she been waltzing around the place like some sort of evil queen of late? SPOILER!!: Jasmine Quote:

Once Jasmine finished her calculations, she was anxious to find out what the numbers meant. As soon as she got the word, she'd be ready to try her hand at interpreting the numbers. Hopefully she would be able to make sense of the information.
Next up was the Ravenclaw prefect. It didn't take long for Lolita to check the calculations. "Bueno, as usual." A slight hint of a smile crossed her lips. SPOILER!!: Samantha Quote:

Another Ravenclaw. "Sí, sí, bueno." Those eagles were a smart lot, they were. SPOILER!!: Lux Quote:

The Harry Potter calculation was one that she could have done herself easily, but review was always nice. She was glad that Professor Domingo was doing it for the new students as well as the ones who struggled with Arithmancy. She herself struggled with aspects of it though the reduction part wasn't too bad. Nor was calculating the Lifepath Number of a person. Grabbing a blank piece of parchment, she did the math for the people on her list:
Two professors and a student were on the list of the next Hufflepuff student. "Worthy choices, Miss Carrington." Though none from her own house, if she remembered correctly. Intriguing. SPOILER!!: Norah Quote:

Too many numbers...ew. She scratched her nose with her quill and began her calculations, slowly working her way through all the addition.
But who KNEW if any of that was right. "You'll want to watch where you put your quill there, chica." Sharp objects near one's eyes tended to yield poor results, in her experience. "Well done on the master number." She moved on to the next student. SPOILER!!: Marigold Quote:

Moo and her dad got the same number? CACKLING.
Lolita scanned over the next student's paper. "Ah, Miss McAlistor, take care to mind your master numbers." This was the same error she had pointed out in Harry Potter's calculation that was on the board. SPOILER!!: Toby Quote:

Aaaaaand done. Okay, cool. WHAT NEXT.
What, no obnoxious bouncing and constant movement? That had to be a first. "Your work looks correct, chico." SPOILER!!: Zander Quote:

Despite this, he gave it his very best shot and fingers crossed he didn't make any blatant mistakes.
Kevin Hirase? He admired HIM, a troublemaker and overall annoying, obnoxious child? Lolita rolled her eyes. "The work is spot on." Even if the choice in people to admire was not. SPOILER!!: Zeke Quote:

Zeke supposed all would be revealed, and this was only using the birth dates, the names had to count for something too, no? First and foremost, he coped down the example from the board again. Harry Potter, yeah, he'd read about the dude. The chosen one and how he defeated Lord Voldimort or something. He was cool, had a neat scar too. Maybe seeing as two of his were incomplete, information-wise, MAYBE he could use Potter instead.
And now for his own.......
Or, well, he was going to do Emily at least. Yep.
That... was right, yes? One, was her... Life Path number? Yes? He would believe so unless told otherwise. Mmmmhhhhmmm.
He was tempted to just, not do the others. Cause, he didn't have Peverell's real date of birth, and he didn't have Professor Airey's middle name. So, he wouldn't be able to complete them, would he?
The lease he could do - he decided, was to do what he did know. And HEEYYYYY, he could always practice on his own, no?
.... .... ......... Okay, that wasn't weird at all. TWO LIFE PATH NUMBER 1'S!!!!!!!.................. What was his!?
Booooo, his wasn't the same as Emily and Professor Airey's! .......... but, what did they mean?! Did he have enough time to look in his text book? Nahhh... probably not.
Zeke sat, patiently, looking around and waiting for the next part.
Time to check the Hirase wanna-be's work.. Oh, perhaps there was some promise in this one after all. "Well done, Mister Rogers." Maybe not as much of a wanna-be as she'd originally thought? SPOILER!!: Angel Quote:
Originally Posted by Harry174 Angel looked at the Professor as she watched what the Professor was doing and then she was changing a master number down. Now she was very confused because she thought you weren't supposed to touch them sort of numbers.
Angel giggled as she looked at the her parchment 7,8,9 how she had done that she had no idea but it was funny and she was enjoying her work now though she just hoped she hadn't done anything wrong with the work.
Lolita noticed Angel's smile. "I'm glad you're coming to enjoy this subject, Miss Valentine." Was it really only a year ago they had been at such odds with each other? SPOILER!!: Grayson Quote:
Originally Posted by hermionesclone Having had no questions, Grayson simply sat back, fiddling with his quill as he did so. Oh they were moving ahead? Brilliant! Less time until his next meal AND he could ignore the soft rumbling his tummy was about to make.
And you know what was gonna be interesting about these pieces of calculations? He KNEW these people, meaning that if the textbook said some random nonsense for the numbers, Whitty would know. And judge. Judging eyes for the textbook would be given. So say something COOL for the three people he admired, mkay? Scribble scribble scribble
Finally she came to a Slytherin. They seemed to be less prevalent than normal in this particular lesson. Perhaps the flu was going around the House. "Looking correct, Mister Whitlock." And another student who admired himself. Interesante.. SPOILER!!: Hady Quote:
Originally Posted by SpiritWolfe Malfoy Hady looked down at her list of people. It was time to find each ones life path number. Taking her quill into her hand once more she began to write on a clean parchment what she believed to be correct.
Finished she set her quill down and turned her attention to the Professor. She hoped she had done this correctly but if she hadn't that would be alright, she was only just learning after all. Right now Hady was just excited to know what each number meant.
Next up was a younger Slytherin. The professor perused the girl's work for a moment before pronouncing it good. "Bueno, chica." ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Were they ready to move on? It appeared that the vast majority of them had finished their calculations. "Now if you will please turn to page seven of your textbooks as you finish up.." She continued circling the room during the inevitable shuffling of books and pages. "The meaning of each Life Path number can be found on this page. You will notice that the meanings for the Master Numbers are at the bottom and also that, in this calculation, the master 33 is not possible." "So now that you have your calculations and their interpretations, please apply the textbook meanings to your three people. How does the analysis fit with their life outcomes if they have already lived a full life? If they are still alive, what does the analysis predict is yet to come for them?" This was always the interesting part of lessons: getting to see what lay ahead.
