Or if Peeves HAD it, Coral.... well, she didn't like that thought. "Lets back track a little." Also, lets take steps back from the dangerous ghost.
"It's gotta be here somewhere." It would be extremely hard to find if the clue was hidden in a book, yeah? Maddie figured it'd take them forever to locate it if THAT was the case and she doubted Mr. Kitridge meant to send them on a quest they couldn't complete. The thirteen year old also wondered if there was an easier way out, one that would save them some time.
Nodding her head, the second year followed Coral and kept her eyes on the shelves around them, looking for anything out of the ordinary. That's when she got an idea.
"I heard you can use the summoning charm to get books you want," She said quietly, trying not to attract Peeves' attention. "Think we can do that with the clue too?" PAUSE. "I mean, if YOU want to try." Because Maddie wouldn't admit it but she'd never tried THAT spell before.
