Piers followed Annie to the door and let out a small chuckle. "I'll keep my eye out." But they were in this mess because another staff member had brought an Arithmancer in, weren't they? "Let me know if you need anything else," he said, beginning to see himself out. He'd be happy to help. Annie smiled brightly at him. "Would you send that Gryffindor student up here, on your way out? Thank you muchly, Piers, for everything." Emphasis on the last word there, because her little spy knew what she meant.
And with that taken care of, Annie returned to her desk and stuffed the copied journals into an envelope. She then stashed that out of sight until the girls waiting had been addressed.
