Okay. She was really starting to get irritated at this stupid little bulb, as it had wiggled inside her fist yet again, trying to bounce out and probably for her head. Brooklyn wasn’t about to let it do that, but she also wasn’t sure how much longer she could hang on before it just fought its way free. She was feet away from her pot when it finally did, hitting her hand once before trying to make a run for it. “No you don’t,” she said, pointing her wand. Doing that wand movement she’d watched earlier, she cast. “Flipendo.” As the bulb was knocked back a foot or so, she pounced on it. It wasn’t escaping now, even if she had to fight it into submission. She refused to be beaten by something as stupid as a bulb, and she glared at it once she finally got to her feet again and finished walking over to her table and her pot lying on top of it.

Flattening her hand down over the top of the pot, she dropped the bulb into the dirt, pushing down slightly to let it settle into its new home but making sure to keep her hand over the pot so it couldn’t wiggle again and bounce out. Dropping her wand onto the table, she started working to scoop more dirt over the bulb, burying it halfway under a layer of soil and pressing down to make sure it was comfortable. Not that she cared when her hand already was starting to show a few faint bruises from the earlier fight. At least she hadn’t gotten hit in the nose like the Gryffindor boy Hady had helped. She was pleased by that fact. She sent her bulb another glare just to drive the point home though. There wasn’t going to be more wiggling, or she was going to seriously hex it.
