Hogwarts RPG Name: Lolita Carmen Inocencia Domingo | SPOILER!!: Ian Quote:

As he crossed the threshhold of the door, he saw the professor in the classroom and that he was the first...person...here. Oh great! he thought to himself. Hopefully she didn't ask him anything about arithmancy. Good day, Professor. He greeted her as he passed her desk and headed toward the far corner, near one of the windows that allowed the cool breeze into the room. He looked at the chalkboard and placed his list on the desk in front of him. Then he alternated between looking out the window and glancing nervously toward the professor.
Ah, the first student of the day. "Good day to you as well." She didn't much look up from her work. He seemed content to stare out the window and ignore her beautiful presence. Fine, his loss. SPOILER!!: Adi Quote:

"I'm glad you're teaching the class again.'' Indeed he was.
As Adi was taking his seat and completely ignoring the other sole student there, he glanced at the board. Oh yes. The list. He had brought his which he now retrieved from his bag.
Adi wondered if he would have to use Professor Hadley's original name or her new name for whatever activity they would be doing today. But he figured Domingo would let them know about that later.
Well of COURSE he was glad she was teaching this class again. She was fabulosa, was she not? Clearly the best professor for the position. Those Hufflepuffs had a way of stating the obvious sometimes. "Indeed. Hola," was all she said in response. SPOILER!!: AJ Quote:

She entered the room, and gave the professor a warm smile. "It's good to see you again, professor." Ian and Adi were the only other two people here. Talk about awkward. AJ chose a seat next to the boyfriend. "Hey, you."
The note on the board didn't go unnoticed. AJ pulled out her list and plopped it down on the table.
The first Gryffindor of the day. "Y tú, Señorita Valentine. Have a seat." SPOILER!!: Hady Quote:

Stepping into the room she smiled gently greeting the Professor. "Hello Professor." She kept it light and simple as she looked for a place to sit. Right now she was one of the only few there so she claimed a spot up front and slipped into the seat setting her bag down at her feet.
It took only a moment for Hady to see the note on the board and she pulled her list from her bag setting it on the table in front of her.
Here was a student she did not recognize. New, perhaps? Or simply starting Arithmancy this year. "Hola, señorita. Welcome to class." She watched as the girl took a seat near the front. Eager to learn? SPOILER!!: Jasmine Quote:

Then she gave a wave to Adi and A.J.
With plenty of seats to choose from, Jasmine picked one and sat down. Then she took her parchment, quill and list of names out of her bag. After placing them on her desk, she sat back to wait for the other students to arrive. "A new prefect has arrived. Bienvenidos, Miss Guidry." Lolita gave her a nod of approval. She supported this particular choice wholeheartedly. SPOILER!!: Toby Quote:
Originally Posted by Felixir To say that Toby was in a bit of a rush was a TOTAL understatement. He'd completely blanked on his timetable today and almost forgotten about lessons completely. Well... it was super hard to remember what day it was sometimes, or what time it was, or what the heck was going on, y'know? Yeah.
So he'd hurried up here, looking very much like he'd gotten ready for school in about ten seconds (which would be an accurate deduction). It looked like he was still on time though, and so was absolutely thankful for that.
The Hufflepuff reached the classroom in no time at all, running his fingers through his hair as a substitute for combing it, and headed straight for his seat by the windows. Whew, man. That had been exhilarating. "Hi Professor Domingo," Toby said as he got seated, and started getting out his parchment, quill and ink, ready for the lesson. Exceeeeeeept...........
....... The list?
THE LIST.
Toby's eyes widened slightly at the message on the board. Oh man. Oh man. He'd TOTALLY forgotten about that... but luckily for him, he had a habit of never cleaning out his bag ever, and hadn't he already done a bit of asking? Maybe the list was still in his bag. The sixteen year old picked up his schoolbag from the floor again and began sifting through it, hoping to find that one particular piece of parchment in the mess of notes from within, whilst simultaneously trying not to call too much attention to himself.
Wait... WAIT... was that it? Toby felt a HUGE SURGE OF RELIEF as he FINALLY extracted a folded piece of parchment with the very information he needed.
Toby couldn't even remember when he found out the full details of the last two, let alone writing it down, but he thanked his past self for being more prepared than his present self, and set the list down on his desk. PANIC OVER.
Frazzled. That was the best word she could come up to fully encompass the behavior of one Tobias Tempus. She greeted him with a simple, "Hello yourself," but nothing more. She didn't have time to expound upon her greeting anyhow due to his moving so swiftly to his seat and proceeding to tear apart the contents of his bag. SPOILER!!: Grayson Quote:
Originally Posted by hermionesclone With his list folded up in his Arithmancy notebook, Grayson headed along the second floor corridor and over towards the Arithmancy classroom. He liked Arithmancy. It was better than any lecture-filled class, which Hogwarts didn't seem to have too much of, thank Merlin.
Heading into the classroom, his blue eyes found Domingo first. "Hello Professor!" he called, giving her a nod and a rare Whitty!smile before he headed over towards an empty desk. As usual, his notebook and writing equipment were pulled out and his bag was placed under his desk. He was ready for this class.
And this list? Grayson pulled it out from his notebook and unfolded it. This list had made him realise that he actually didn't know when Cutty's birthday was, which was why his name wasn't there even if he wanted it to be. Swear to Merlin, how was that POSSIBLE?! He'd known the dude for over a year now. His birthday would have flown past by now.
Eh. He had a LIST, at least.
He was dead admirable, mkay?
Good good, Mr Whitlock. So that would mean that Miss Newell couldn't be too far behind. At least that was her hope and theory. She had put effort into the budding young love last year and wasn't about to see her generous efforts wasted. "Hello, Mr Whitlock," she responded to his own greeting. SPOILER!!: Angel Quote:

"Good Day Professor." Angel smiled as she looked at the Professor, did she enjoy the cake that was made for her last term. She would have to see if the Professor wanted another one making after the lesson.
Angel then went and sat down.
She had to have her boyfriend and her sister AJ obviously and she thought about putting Abby down for the last one but in the end she decided to think out of the box and put one of her favourite writers who by reading her work had inspired her to follow her heart.
A new year, a new Angel? Lolita had seen a lot of growth and maturity through last year and she hoped that trend would continue into this year. "Good day, Miss Valentine." The second one, that is. SPOILER!!: Benny Quote:

Yet he couldn't bring himself to drop it, especially when the rest of their little group continued on, including the girls who were new to it. So there he was, walking into the classroom before it was time for the class to begin, as usual behind the others. "Hello Professor," he greeted before moving to take a seat with the group. "Hey," he simply said before noticing what was on the board. Right...the list. Ben took it out from his back and placed it on the desk in front of him. "Hello and welcome." She recognized him but couldn't place his name. At least he knew how to follow instructions on the board. SPOILER!!: Zander Quote:

The only good thing that had happened thus far was saving Grayson's robes and even that didn't really make a huge difference to his outlook. But anyways, as he took a seat in the middle-ish section of the room, his eyes fell on the chalkboard. List of three people!?! OH. NO.
Merlin.
Did he put his list in his bag before coming!?! OH NO OH NO OH-- oh. Here it is. Hehe. Oops. Freaking out for nothing. Coast is clear.
Here was another Gryffindor. And one that wished him well, no less. "I have indeed had a good term so far. Thank you for asking, Mr Adair." She smirked as she watched him terrify himself over the momentary misplacement of his list. SPOILER!!: Alexa Quote:

Alexa walked into Arithmancy, deciding she'd question it some other time though if she thought the stares would be less intense in here, then she'd only lied to herself. Wow. Eventually she'd crack under the 'pressure' and tell someone to shove off. Just give her a little longer, her patience would run out for sure.
Lex bumped Grayson on her way to her seat, as a sort of 'hi' and that's when she saw his list--herself being on the TOP. Well would you look at that. She grinned. "You admire me, huh?" And a little wider grin too before flopping into the seat next to him. Who usually sat here? She didn't even remember but look, Grayson! And he wasn't staring.
Reaching into her own bag, she flashed out her own list.
Oh, the Head Girl appeared to have a big head now. "Common courtesy dictates that you greet the professor, Miss Cambridge." Even the most important student leaders. SPOILER!!: Lux Quote:

Entering the classroom, she waved to her friends and sat down in her seat. "Hello, Professor Domingo!"Taking out her list, she placed it on top of her desk.
Her boyfriend was obviously on the list because he was the best ever, and her two favourite Professors were there as well.
There seemed to be fewer Hufflepuffs than normal so far, but the arrival of another helped to correct the perceived imbalance. Enthusiasm! She liked it. "Hola, Miss Carrigan. Good start of term, I trust." SPOILER!!: Layla Quote:
Originally Posted by Lottiepot As terrible as it probably sounded Layla had a hard time choosing the list of three people that she admired. She walked into Arithmancy with a slight frown on her face. The blonde wasn't in a good mood today and it was certainly showing on her face. Goodness knew what the true reason was and the fifteen-year-old certainly wasn't going to divulge it to anyone. She sat in a seat near the door so she didn't have to cross the other students and offered a nod and a half 'I don't want to smile but I have to' sort of smile across to the Professor simply so she didn't appear too rude.
She HAD managed to form a list and she got it out onto the table. It DID have three names and she DID admire them in some way or another. The first was her mother because she had taken them from the council estates of Brixton to an end of terrace dwelling near Clapham Common due to her hard work and persistence. The woman was a good mother too and a wonderful grandmother and Layla couldn't fault her for that. The second was her first born nephew Felix, purely because he lived in a mad house with mental parents and still seemed to retain some normality that his siblings lacked. And he was intelligent for his age too. The final was her cousin Samson because he persisted to make sure that Layla stayed at school and he knew how to treat and react to her when others didn't. He was initially the person to keep her sane in a school full of people she really didn't want to bond with.
As it was she had actually started to form friendships rather than acquaintances, she just wasn't going to admit that yet.
And now another Ravenclaw to boost their numbers as well. She didn't like lopsided lessons. More well-rounded viewpoints helped to spice things up more. And Latina chicas were all about the spice. SPOILER!!: Marigold Quote:

Add one more hurrying student to the list. There must have been something in the pumpkin juice this morning. "Hello, young lady." SPOILER!!: Zeke Quote:

He hated numbers. But these were MAGICAL numbers... so he hoped it would be easier in some ways to the icky muggle variety math. Algebra would be the death of him if it wasn't. AND on top of that, if this WAS like math math... then he'd end up going home a disappointment because there was no way he was going to take on the subject long term. Nope. He'd drop it like it was burninggggg hot.
But alas, he was here, the Professor was here, and there was no escaping now. "Hello, Professor!Miss," he greeted in a soft tone as he passed the front and made his way to a free table. Once seated, he pulled his list from his pocket and lay it on the table before getting his notes parchment, ink and quill.
Checking his list over, he sighed. Emily hadn't come through with his demand, perhaps he should have owled the man himself. Why didn't he think of that sooner???
One more young lion trooped through the doorway, but this one looked shy. "Hola, señor. Find a seat, please, we're about to begin." SPOILER!!: Ethan Quote:

Well, he’s probably got a long list and giving his top three seemed to be a challenge for the prefect. Ethan made his way to his first Arithmancy class for the term, thinking about the list inside his pocket. A small smile was on his face as he treaded along, and pushed the door open. Oh. Good. There were people already. And by the looks of it, he’s not late. Good. Seriously, if he was, he’d blame the list. "Good day, professor." After greeting the Latina, Ethan got a seat behind Grayson, and...oh.
It was a good thing that Lex can’t see him now, because the boy gave her a look. She’s not going to mess up Arithmancy too, yes? Shaking his head, he got out his list, together with his book, parchment and self-inking quill.
This lesson had seemed to be getting low on Slytherins, so she was pleased to see Ethan walk through the door. "Good day. Take a seat, we're ready to begin."
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Right, time to start. " Bienvenidos, clase, to another exploration into the magical properties of numbers." They were going to jump right into things today. "I asked you to bring a list of the full names and birth dates of three people you admire. Would anyone care to share with the class one or more of the individuals they have chosen and why?" It was possibly a personal question, but it was also an optional answer.
OOC: The lesson has officially begun. Please do not announce your late arrival to class.
