It was true.

It was exactly why Clark Kent changed in a phone booth. Why Bruce Wayne put on a voice to disguise his own. Why the newly turned 13 year old Kyroh Scabior was peaking out of the treehouse window to catch a glimpse of any OTHER superheros that were on their way or climbing the latter to the party.

The treehouse had had been somewhat transformed. Beanbags pushed to the sides and a table added in (thanks to the house elves) topped with with cupcakes, crisps, drinks, AND of course bowls (also thanks to the house elves) . Large bowls. And spoons. Though no ice cream in sight.

Kyroh's favourite and a classic rock song thumped in the background. And a sign was taped to the entrance reading:

Yup. It was party time. And Spiderman was more than ready.

The one she'd been saving up for and Merlin had she gone to a lot of trouble to get it. Brothers had been involved, JUST saying. Hopefully he'd be happy when he opened it.

The brunette heard the music loud and clear as she made her way up and into the treehouse and she stopped JUST long enough to read the sign on the entrance before she entered, hand on hip and full of confidence as Catwoman would.

"Birthday boy," She grinned, not at all surprised by his getup. "You look puuurfect." Geddit? Nigel would be proud.

So he'd hit the muggle studies section of the library.

He'd had no idea there were so many!! He'd gone back and forth about who he could be and what sort of costume he could manage without buying something or destroying something, either of which would sorely disappoint his parents. So being anyone recognizable was out of the question.

Arriving at the party, Thornton had a piece of purple cloth with two eye holes cut out, tied round his head, an extra large yellow towel tied round his neck like a cape, his winter gloves and boots, and a paper lightening bolt taped to the front of his purple teeshirt.

Entering the treehouse timidly, Thornton looked around. Superheros don't reveal their real identities Huh. Maybe no one would know it was him...

Soph was all set to arrive to the party as early as she could with every hope that she beat Tobes there so that HER superhero costume choice would be a surprise to him.

Because, well, she was dressed as one Tobias Tempus. Again.

Soph knew well enough that Toby was probably the closest thing to a real life superhero Kyroh had ever met, so she chose to borrow without asking some of her boyfriend's things once again to complete her outfit - his skateboard, his actual pants, and a hoodie with Tempus sprawled across the back. Her hair was wrapped in a tight bun on her head, hidden under a yellow beanie, then she had her own Hufflepuff scarf wrapped around her neck and she had changed her eye color to blue for the day. From afar, she was pretty certain she looked well enough like him.

Tobias!Soph made her way up the ladder of the treehouse, a wrapped gift in one hand, the skateboard under her arm, and was... a bit marveled to see what Kyroh had done with the place. Merlin. Had the groundskeeper helped with this?

"Happy birthday, Ky," she grinned at the sight of the boy in his costume and offered him a hug despite her arms being full - Catwoman!Maddie got a grin, too, followed by, "Y'both look great." Because they did, didn't they? And way too cute. Little Thornton over there - looking far too uncomfortable to be there, and so well-masked that she didn't even know who he was - got a little wave, too. Poor fella.
