The Hufflepuff just sat there in his seat, as the okay mood he was in just completely drained from him. Hate potion? But......... why? Did they have to test it? Toby didn't want to hate anyone, and he especially didn't want anyone to hate HIM.

That pretty Phoenix boy was speaking up, though, which made Toby look over and sort of... silently cheer him on. Only silently though, because... well... he was suddenly not in the mood to talk. Where had THIS even COME FROM? This... downturn?

Half-hoping that Phoenix would maybe manage to persuade Culloden NOT to have them brew this potion, Toby silently added one jobberknoll feather to his just-cleaned cauldron and... yeah. Just sat there, pointedly not looking at Culloden or Soph or Kyroh, 'cause his brain was betraying him right now.
