At least the Head Girl had THAT right. She was definitely bothering Zahra, though unlikely Alexa knew just how or why. THEN the Head Girl went and made it a gazillion times worse. At least that worse. Maybe more. Poor Zahra's heart broke and she couldn't really answer because if she did, then she might start crying, and Gryffindors don't cry, ESPECIALLY not her. NOT NOW, NOT EVER.
...so Zahra just shook her head. No, no she could honestly say she hadn't seen Mikey around. She turned back around quickly before the Head Girl could get any ideas or see how hard she was fighting to not be a crybaby.

No answer. Yeah. Wow. Helpful Zahra was helpful. Lex's head flopped back onto her squishy seat and she allowed herself to wonder why she bothered trying with a girl who was ready to pop her one without tolerating her company well. The sudden turning might have been the end of the conversation, in fact she was sure it was...so why wouldn't she accept that? She wasn't quite sure.
"Wouldn't have killed you to answer, you're his other half. Could save me a lot of walking if you did." Lex didn't wait for an answer but instead lightly shoved her kneazle from her lap and got to her feet. She rounded on the Gryffindor, allowing her curiosity to override her annoyance.
"How do you still hate me." Perfectly innocent question. She legit wanted to know, just for knowing. That's it.
