Flamsteed wanted him to keep an eye on his friends and keep them out of trouble. Was that a joke? With the smile on the older man's face he wasn't entirely sure so Benny simply nodded. He would do what he could, the lion looking again at Abby and briefly wondering if Ian, the troublesome Badger was around. THEY were the ones who needed to be watched. Turning back away as he made his seat, he caught the look from his friend.
"Yeah, I know..." he said quietly as he set out some parchment and a quill.
Name tags? Ben didn't remember ever having nametags in astronomy before. With a mental shrug, the lion slipped his wand from his pocket to do as instructed. Tap the tag and say his name clearly. Easy Peasy. First tap...then "Ben-jamin Atreyu" Uggg, he always struggled with how much of his name to use and his name tag showed a mark where he had hestitated. Maybe it would give people the option that way, he mused to himself as he added it to his robes.
Raising his hand he offered an answer to the question, namely cause everyone else was giving one and it sounded mandatory. "To me, its the study of the night sky. And we study it to know what is going on around us." Simple enough but he wasn't all that scientific.
