Toby made sure there was NO MORE cookie in his mouth before talking, 'cause manners. "I just wanted to come say hey, and stuff." Stuff meaning 'to make sure all was okay'. He wasn't going to mention it, but last year when Truebridge had told them about the threat, and then Professor Tanner hadn't been around, Toby had immediately jumped to the conclusion that she was like in WITNESS PROTECTION or something. Y'know? But shhhh, nobody needed to know that. "And maybe tell you about how those Under-Seventeens tryouts went, if you want?"

Moar grinning, 'cause the woman in front of him had really helped him out with all that, and now getting into Quidditch after school looked like something that might actually happen.
