be curious, not judgmental

Sophie, who thought it was a little silly to wear a nametag when Flamsteed absolutely knew who she was, complied with his wishes anyway - not before inspecting her nametag carefully. NASA? How had he gotten these from them? They looked super fancy and she couldn't help but smile at it before tapping it with her wand, "Sophie." 'Sophie' was enough for today. He already called her Miss Brown, so he knew WHICH Sophie he was. That was important. Very, very important.

Though, as soon as she placed it on her robes, she sort of wished she had added 'Brown' so any student unfamiliar with who she was would know which Sophie she was. Ah, well. Hopefully they could put two and two together since she was sitting with Tobes and in Ravenclaw robes. She was not the Newell. Nope.

As Flamsteed continued along, she was all about thinking over what astronomy meant to her and why they studied it, but sharing with the class? Well. That part she actually didn't mind so much either - it was the sharing with Flamsteed that made her hesitate. He was all about making every student's attempt at answering questions seem like a good one, for the most part, but... all in all, she wanted to impress him. Sort of... more than any other professor, and she hadn't quite been able to place her finger on why. Maybe it was just that he was her only favorite professor that she hadn't established some sort of relationship with outside of the classroom? Not in the same way she had with Culloden, Fuller, and Thompson. She thought of Flamsteed as the first and foremost professor she'd look to for professional guidance.

Thus she found herself hesitating and fully thinking through every question and answer, unlike in nearly every other class where she was happy to spout answers off.

For now, she actually decided to keep her thoughts to herself - instead of verbalizing it, she starting writing things down, glancing up at Flamsteed and the others every now and then so the professor knew she wasn't tuning out. Nope. Just doing her thing.

Studying Astronomy...
- Feeds our curiosity
- Opens our minds to possibilities
- Helps us gain an understanding of things greater than us and where we come from
- Gives us insight to places beyond our imagination
- Is never boring with Flamsteed
