Birtwhistle was too quiet for his liking, but the boy had greedy fingers so he wasn't at all surprised when he got a reaction out of the guy. And Frankie too, though he seemed greatly distracted, also reacted to the offer of sweets. Who in their right mind would resist it though?
In the end he decided that he couldn't finish on a blueberry tart, and so he had to pick something else, something with more ZING, hopefully. Zeke fished in and snagged another bean, brown this time.. a promising colour if ever he saw one. Replacing the box on the bedside drawer, he turned his attention back to Frankie. HA!!!
"Nah," he started, though why he thought that, he really didn't know. "Then again, maybe? I mean the school has had money issues, so you never know?" he offered with a shrug, not intending to give false hope, but you know.. it WAS possibly, maybe.
"What's so bad about being here though?" Hhmmmm? As far as he could tell, there was absolutely NOTHING wrong with being a Lion.
