Either one he respected.
And yes, let's NOT get sentimental about things just yet. Far too early into the term to begin thinking about, well, what came at the end of the term. Although the Stanford discussion was right on par with this train of thought, but the excited and optimistic side of things.
"Oxford as a back up," he chuckled. Honestly, how many people could say THAT about their options. Certainly not himself.
"Summer was stellar, once I was allowed to leave Hogwarts after the chorts had been safely removed that is." Not that he had really been of much use during the removal process. Dark creatures were far from his field of expertise and his only real contribution had been using his weather measurements to give them all a general direction to walk. The acromantulas had done the rest. "....and aside from nearly getting students and myself killed as well. Although that was quite the adventure." Well, she didn't mean right now, but he could get started on it, for sure. She knew he had plenty of responsibilities as a Professor, and even more so being Head of House now, so, his time was precious and he should occupy all his spare time to write this letter. High expectations on it and all. Lotus would probably cry. "Not exactly. I'll be applying next year, but I'd rather have as many things ready as possible." Can't blame her. She really likes to be prepared ahead of time.
No sentiments whatsoever, got it.
And now she could see how that could be taken if someone from Oxford heard. Laughter happened. A quick laugh, that is. "And that shall stay between us," she said, with a wink, "But yes, sort of. Though not as it sounds." She could do a masters there. Maybe. Let's see if Stanford takes her first.
Chorts, of course. She read about it in the Prophet, thought of Zander the second she started with the article. The Gryffindor probably still believed it was Romanos' fault. "As long as they don't come back...," because Lotus would find a way out before the vortex-phase starts. She sipped her tea as she kept on listening, eyes on Flamsteed the entire time. Eyebrows raised at the mention of getting others killed. "Greece sounds... eventful." Would she hear about this story? Probably not, since she didn't know anyone who'd been on the trip well enough. "I went to Greece, too." And she was missing it so badly. |
