"Consider it a rhetorical question," he chuckled as he passed the seventh year the unopened bag of gourmet chocolate cauldron flavored marshmallows.
"Exorcism?" he repeated, eyebrow raised and tea cup hovering near his lips. "I am sure you will, but sweet solstice why do you need to research that?" A Divination assignment?
At least it wasn't scientific hokum astrology.
Alright, the good stuff!
Alexa was all too happy to take the bag of marshmallows and rip it open. At present she didn't know how many she'd try stuffing into her mug of hot chocolate but the possibilities were endless and so was her stomach when it came to this sort of thing. She started with one, then another two and another two after that. While she waited for those to soak in she popped another marshmallow into her mouth. Nice and gooey.
As for the whyyyy.........
"Because I'm not willing to leave Sir Nicholas here in the castle." And a perfectly solemn nod.
"You're needed too much here so I don't think I'd be able to take you with me but he's a ghost and he's spent long enough here. I'm pretty sure he wouldn't mind a change of scenery and...I'll miss him, y'know?"
The ghost had never been anything but nice to her, she could return the favour. Hadn't he mentioned once or twice how dull the castle could get???
