There are snacks and drinks for those who didn't get their fill at the feast and the area in front of the fireplace has been designated as a 'quiet zone'," he explained, complete with air quotes because he did not expect there to be much quiet in the common room this evening. "There are some handouts over there on the table showing how best to make blanket and sofa forts, so grab a friend and get constructing if you wish and get ready for a silly string battle until we get too exhausted to move or bored with it. You may choose to sleep in your blanket and sofa forts with friends if you wish rather than the dorms. But let me make it ABSOLUTELY clear there is to be NO co-ed sleeping this evening." He had seen MORE than enough of that sort of STUFF this evening.
"Other than that, just kick back and enjoy your first night in the common room !"
And he was now going to get up off his imaginary soap box and make himself a delicious hot schmo before starting construction on his own blanket fort.
David grinned, accepting the silly string can. "'Course. We use it all the time at birthday parties." Well, not ALL the time, technically. And it was mostly for kids parties usually. BUT it was still fun and he was totally up for spraying his fellow housemates with this stuff.
And they were gonna build forts for this???
So awesome. He was definitely up for all that. Quiet zone, pshhhhh.

Aaaaaand David was fine with the glitter and paint too, which put an even bigger smile than normal on Phoenix's face. "You guys should tell me what kinda stuff you like, I'll paint it." Like, his walls at home were usually just swirls and shapes and music notes in different colours, but he could adapt so that everyone felt at home.
He was about to pursue the matter further, when he caught sight of Isla... was she... blushing at Ceo..? Interesting. Veeeeeerry interesting. "Hey Isla." He gave a HUGE grin. "You're not going to beat us. You're going to try." And fail. Yep. Sorry.
WAIT A SECOND. SILLY STRING? Phe's eyes widened and he glanced down at his clothes. There was no WAY he was getting silly string on these trousers. He didn't want to damage the leather. So he took a sliiiiight step in the direction of the dorms. "M'gonna get changed, coming, guys?" And then he bounded off to quickly change into something a little more... appropriate. Quote:

Phen didn't know what he was saying. Black and White wasn't boring. Long before the Maroon, and Gold he would be pridefully wearing out and about was the Black and White he'd wear when he and All his a Brothers were able to afford tickets to the Magpie games. Watching the Keeper, Keefer O'Marius and more recently Alice Fischer. Such beautiful simplicity in those colors. "Aye, tha' THE Quidditch Team. Jimmy Dave." Ceo gave his dorm mate a pat on the Shoulder. "Cuid ah paint th' magpies? " he asked Phoenix with a smile on his face. "A've got a recent team Banner Ah can hang by my bed. So Ye can gang Colorful on th' walls"
Then chaos happened. The Loud House Jimmy Prof. Was loud once more and shot string onto all of them, and declared a battle. Ceorlic was about to move to his dorm to change when he heard an all too familiar voice by now greet him from behind. "I-Isla" he said back to her stammering and blushing at the sight of the Bonny. He stayed frozen in place for a bit, recalling their train ride up together.
Pulling himself back together, Ceorlic too moved from Common Room, to Dorm then back to Common Room completely Changed. He eyed the room again to see who was preparing for war, he had to get his game face o...Was that a Cat Onesie!?!?
Ceo's face was as red as his Pajamas!!
Pshhhh, Isla thought she would beat them? "In your dreams, Isla," he replied, grinning. They were SO gonna win. Obviously.
Ceo didn't wanna use magic to clean the food? Eh, okay. Fair enough. There would be more food later anyway, so he'd be okay.
"You an artist then?" Since Phoenix was talking about painting magpies and trees. Which was cool. David could totally paint too, you know. If you counted stick figures.
AND magpies WERE a Quidditch team - or THE Quidditch team apparently according to Ceo. Either way, David had guessed right, which was awesome. He was awesome. Yep. "Cool." Maybe he could learn more about that sport from Ceo later on.
And now everyone was heading up to change, so of course David went too. Not that he really cared about getting his uniform dirty, but anything would be far more comfortable than robes and a tie and stuff. Especially for a silly string battle.
He changed pretty quickly, tossing his uniform off haphazardly and pulling on a simple shirt and plain pajama bottoms, then ran back down to the common room.

"You've watched Toy Story too, Professor?" David knew so many lines from that and other Disney and Pixar movies.....ONLY because his little sister was obsessed with them. Ahem. That was the only reason plus Buzz Lightyear was awesome.
