She watched him with a small, PROFESSIONAL smile as he looked around. Tori didn't waste time in bouncing to her seat and pulling out her ever-present pad of paper and pink quill. She waited politely for him to gather his words and let out a light laugh.
"You were saying --- please, make yourself comfortable," she pointed to a chair which zoomed up to him from behind and nudged him right at the knees, insistently. "You were saying that you had a concern about the Bachelor of the Month column? Was there someone in there that you wanted to contact, or..." cue breathy gasp, "were you VOLUNTEERING yourself to be featured, Mr. Bones?!!!"

Ohwhoops! He was suddenly seated and sitting directly in front of Bunbury's desk. When did she get so ready to take notes and interrogate twisting his words like that? Vic scratched his stubbly chin and shook his head, "Please do not feature me in that column." January was already having a hard time with one Bones, no need to overwhelm the poor gorgeous, fiery haired, perfectly shaped, endearingly behaved woman. He was in love okay? Okay.
"I am here to contact one of the bachelors, actually, yes. There was a mister... Rustin? If you would enlighten me of the methods you apply to the process of choosing a certain person to be featured in that column. How thorough is your research about their background?" He leaned all the way forward to her desk, giving her a serious and gentle look. "Hmm? How deep do you dig before you promote them on your paper?" HMM? |
