So it looked like Zander wasn't the only one caught by the surprise of this chaos. Sometimes after a good welcome feast people just go straight to bed. Because long train rides filled with a crying girl and an over stuffed belly, but of course not in Gryffindor house. They had to have a party. A party with rainbow gooey string everywhere. And evidently Professor Romanos. Why was she here again? But back to the point, Zander wasn't the only caught in the whole mess of things because when he heard a voice come from beside him he noticed some other kid. An older guy, so not a kid, but still he looked out of place too. "Yeaaah," he replied to the guy. Not an answer to his question, but Zander felt the same way okay.

Then, turning back to the crowd, Zander saw a younger boy approaching. Was he one of the new firsties? The Gryffindor tried to think back to the sorting ceremony, but funny enough he couldn't remember a single thing from it. Ooops. He was probably searching for Bentley the entire time. Didn't have time to welcome the new lions. Seeing the friendly smile on the boy's face, the older Gryffindor gave one of his own. As friendly and warm as a utterly confused fourteen yearold could be. Sort of.

Silly string? Of course coming from a muggle family Zander knew exactly what the stuff was. But having it at the common room? That was an entirely different story. "Yeah that's Flailsteed-- I mean, uh, Flamsteed for you," he said nodding towards the eccentric man. Wonder what Beautiful Bentley would say if she got sight of this Common Room... Maybe he could clean it for her later?! THEN SHE'D REALLY GIVE HIM A HUG!! "Oh uh yeah, makes sense... They did something like this last term too... Sort of," except he ended that night with his arm bitten into... But thankfully there was no Zahra Kettleburn around this place quite yet. MAYBE SHE QUIT HOGWARTS!! Ahem. Too hopeful?

Leo, that was easy enough. The Gryffindor nodded and smiled, "I'm Zander, third year," And then as if changing his mind he shook his head right away and "I mean fourth year... I'm a fourth year." Oops. Heh.

Picking a long piece of rainbow goop out of his hair he-- Awesome? .... Not really. There was goop all over his blonde hair and he'd have to pick it out tonight and what if Beautiful Bentley saw him like this!! "I... I guess, but it'd really be more awesome if we had our own cans," because then he wouldn't just be the one getting gooped on, you know? He'd much rather be the gooper not the goop-ie. And who was this girl? She was totally not a familiar face...

Looking around he, wait a minute catch flies? Oh. His mouth. He was still standing there staring at everyone. Oh yeah. Quickly, the boy closed his mouth and looked at the laughing girl. "I-uh-oh. I didn't realize it was still open.." he offered a tiny chuckle? Because oops? Okay okay so maybe he didn't remember to close his mouth, BUT he did remember the common room password so that superlative was still wrong okay!!! It was! He remembered it!! And he got in ALL by himself!!

Looking around the room, the Gryffindor was starting to get worried. First he couldn't find Beautiful Bentley AND NOW he couldn't find any of his old friends! Their Common Room was being overtaken by new people!! And oh, there was Cinna nearby, but she was talking to some person he didn't know. And there was Kevin just sitting around and wait a minute, KEVIN! Practically running towards his only available friend in the room, Zander smiled. "Guess what?!" No hellos or anything because he had some stuff that Kevin would probably enjoy. Yep.
