Hadleigh had slipped into an empty spot on the bench after she had been sorted into her house a smile gently forming on her face as she looked at her new house mates. My gosh the were so big. She looked like a little baby compared to most of them.
Keeping her head low, her long hair falling down into her face to hide her eyes. Was she nervous? Of course! She was a first year and a tiny one at that but she had pride and wouldn't let her nervousness get the better of her.
As the others around her spoke she reached for a roll and carefully used a butter knife to break it open before smearing a bit of butter inside and closing it back up. Taking a small bit of the roll, chewing and then swallowing Hady (which she likes to be called) let her roam up and down the table taking in each face of her housemates without so much as a sound. |
