Best year. Exactly. ... Phoenix was all smiles today, and his smile grew as Isla complimented his hair. “Thanks. It’s made of stardust and candy floss.” He shook his head a little so his curls bounced and the glitter from his hairspray glinted in the light. People commented on his hair so often that he’d just started making stuff up about it. Stuff like it was made of childhood dreams and rainbow fragments, or it was strands of angel song. Weird stuff, but fun nonetheless.

No problem with dorm mates? “I hope not. I’ve never shared a room before.” Like, ever. In his life. That he could remember... “But at least it’s with people I like.” You know... so far. He hadn’t found any reason not to like them. In fact, he very rarely found any reason not to like anyone, which was handy really, because it meant making friends was pretty easy.

“A treat?” Like... a party? Fooood? MUSIC? Phoenix beamed at the thought of it. And here he’d been thinking that school was for learning, but it seemed like his worries had been for no reason, there were TREATS and FEASTS and FRIENDS and MUSIC and GORGEOUS PEOPLE and probably SNOGS in the near future... Who knew.... maybe this would be even better than going on tour with Rufus.

“Any time, beautiful.” he replied, giving her a big genuine smile and kissing her cheek. She was smiling, which was good, cause he liked it when people he liked were happy. It made HIM happy. As did the fact that she was beautiful... In fact, pretty much everybody in this hall was super hot. Was there something in the water? Whatever it was, Phe liked it.

Ooooh, she met Clara..? “Yeah, she’s great.” Phe grinned a little and pushed aside the thought that maybe it wasn’t a very good thing for Clara and Eden to talk... Not that he’d been dishonest with either of them, he just knew girls sometimes made problems where there weren’t any and he didn’t want anyone to be upset with him. “That’s great! I told you this place wouldn’t be as terrible as you were expecting.” She had FRIENDS already, see? He’d been right.

Oooooooooh another hair comment. Aww yeah. “Thank you, it’s made of the dreams of elven children.” He fluffed it in her direction, sprinkling a few bits of glitter onto his shoulders... There was no way their dorm would be anything but glitter infested this year, and that made Phoenix ridiculously happy. It’d be like being in his own room back at home. Glitter. Everywhere. He doubted even magic could really clear it up.

Phoenix was already getting pretty good at understanding Ceo’s accent. Which made him kinda smug, but he supposed it would also be useful, in case he had to translate for any girls or anything. Not that he was going to have to for long. He was going to make Ceorlic a veritable Casanova. By Christmas, if possible. And it was gonna be awesome. ... And then he refused sherbet for a PASTY? Crazy. But that meant more for Phoenix so he just gave the guy a thumbs up.

YES! Gryffindor WAS the best and FGlamsteed was so RIGHT. Phoenix could not help himself, and joined in with his new head of house...
